  • Review: Don't Breathe
    Sep 26 2024

Don't rob people, its as simple as that because sometimes you may be robbing a war vet with daredevil abilities. When Rocky, Alex, and Money try to break in to a blind veterans home to steal from him they are quickly met with a man more broken and capable then they ever realized. A film that at its flaws has no characters to root for and some very disturbing scenes later on. However, has some of the best tension building we have seen in recent years giving us full reason to never go down in the basement.

  • Review: Dead Whisper
    Sep 19 2024

Have you ever wanted to get away from it all and just relax? Why not try an island full of ghosts? This is what happens when Elliot, succumbed to the death of his infant daughter goes to an island and perhaps sells his soul in the process. An indie film that is shot very well with creepy atmosphere but ultimately a ghost story that feels more lovecraftian then ghosts making for a slow burn that some may turn away from. In the end this is an interesting film that anyone has time for, and, "death is but a subject of time".

In the sequel to Nightmare on Elm Street, we follow Jesse as he is plagued by Freddy taking over his body and killing with him. While it may not have the same the same wow factor as the first movie, it does have an interesting backstory about coming out and an even bigger story for the main actor and what he faced after the launch. That being said it still isn't the strongest in the franchise but what can you say about Freddy movies, "he owns me".

  • Review: Scream
    Sep 5 2024

Slasher films were all the rage in the mid to late 80's but theres one film that take that ball and ran with it to a different spectrum. When Sydney is plagued by a murderer after her and her friends, anyone could be a suspect in it. With a film from one of the greatest minds in horror using the tropes of those films to actually tell a story is a chefs kiss with possibly one of the best red herrings and motives in slasher history. And you know what they say about motives, right? "It's the millennium, motives are incidental".
