Critic reviews
"Wonderful performances pepper this intriguing contemporary twist on Romeo and Juliet.... The full-cast delivers Shakespeare's words and emotions as convincingly as they deliver their off-stage personae.... In the smaller, more intimate, scenes, both plot and characters come alive." (AudioFile)

The performance was excellent. I knew going in with the name of it that it wasn't gonna have a happy ending, but I thought, just maybe. Jude was perfection. By far my favorite. One of my favorite scenes was at the guest house with the homophobic lady. Jude was amazing.

I could never date a theater kid
Generally good and the acting was solid. The story got a little screwy here and there, but worth a listen.

Lovely story with charismatic actors
A really compelling podcast, very bingeable, and although I understand the ending I really wished it had turned out different, but perhaps that showed how much I loved the characters.

I am HOOKED!
The fascinating present day storyline beautifully intertwines with the classic Romeo & Juliet. Each main character is strong, and their struggle to find a balance between societal acceptance and authenticity is a riveting and relatable journey. The performers do a fantastic job of naturally expressing their character’s dynamic and tumultuous emotions. I’m hooked and enjoying the ride!

Good but went off the rails here and there
Great performance. Went off the rails a bit. Entertaining and interesting but maybe too hyped with the drama.

Captivating from the start
This was a hair's breadth away from totally perfect, and it was such a pleasure that I'd be a sad sod to give it less than a perfect score.
The performances are absolutely fantastic - full of character, and the actors played off of each other remarkably well.
The story could have perhaps been tweaked at one specific moment to make it more... plausible, maybe. But, in my opinion, where the story or dialogue went over-the-top it was done not only with purpose, but also done well.
Again - a total pleasure, and I'm so happy I stumbled into it by absolute chance.

Shakespeare would be embarrassed.
It was an overstuffed melodrama. filled with cliche. The first half of it was actually pretty good. The pace was wonderful It kept you engaged. and then suddenly it became just a nasty greasy stain. The writing fell apart, the acting got worse and worse every chapter. The actor who played Jude , must have thought he was on dynasty. He gave the best impersonation of Joan Collins I've heard in a while. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community; It was so bad it was almost insulting. The only reason why I would suggest someone listen to this would be because you should experience this sort of crud at least once in your life. The only bright spot in this was that I didn't have to pay for it .... It was part of my membership. All in all it was an overdressed Christmas turkey, an old turkey with week old fixings.
