PV Sindhu is an Indian professional badminton player. She was born to parents who were both national-level volleyball players. At the age of 18, she won the bronze in the 2013 World Championships, something not achieved since Prakash Padukone’s Bronze in 1983.

Throughout her career, Sindhu won medals and achievements at numerous tournaments including the Olympics and World Championships. Awarded with 'Padma Shri', 'Padma Bhushan' and 'Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award' she has become the epitome of Sports in India.
