  • Season 4, Episode 55: Interview with Award-Winning Actress Toby Poser (Mother) from "Hellbender" (2021
    Sep 13 2024

Toby brewed up meaningful insight about her role in the movie as a witch; providing details as to why the movie was written the way it was and also explaining the Mother/Daughter dynamic in which I believe has the "Carrie" vibe that casted a new spell of their relationship to a whole new level.

I must admit that the movie is very unique and profound with the special effects and makeup, especially the energy that was being channeled while filming. I also have to admire their creativeness and motivation - what drives them to make such excellent movies?

We also touched on two other films: "Where the Devil Roams" and the most recent release, "Hell Hole" which is now streaming on Shudder. Talking to Toby has definitely led me to believe that the Adams Family will continue to keep the audience spellbound with their cultivation in the horror community.

For those that have not seen their movies, I highly suggest that you do, you will not be disappointed! Overall, great interview and I am hoping to speak to the rest of the family in the future.

  • Season 4, Episode 51: Interview with Lauren-Marie Taylor (Vickie) from “Friday the 13th: Part 2” (1981)
    Aug 26 2024

Lauren is such a sweet person with the most overall positive vibe! I loved hearing her speak about how her acting career started and how she got involved with the movie [Friday the 13th: Part 2]. It astonishes me how the franchise maintains the reputation of hiring talented actors for the movies.

He story is very interesting and descriptive; I was captivated the entire time. Usually I try to tend to the basic questions but in this interview, we talked about her acting history… How she acted alongside John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. And recently in the movie “In a Violent Nature” alongside Ry Barrett. Her story and career are amazing!

What’s next for this wonderful and talented actress? Make sure you keep an eye out for her in “He Sees You When You're Sleeping” which is set to be released this year around Christmas.

  • Season 4, Episode 50: Interview with Olivera Perunicic (Sofija) from “Hell Hole” (2024) – A Shudder Original
    Aug 23 2024

It was an absolute delight speaking to Olivera about her role in the Shudder Original, “Hell Hole” which is due to be released on Shudder today!

We spoke about her character in the movie and how passionate she is about the environment and animals outside her acting career. She is definitely the kind of person you would love to know on a more personal level. Which therein gives you an idea why Toby Poser and her husband John Adams chose her to be in this movie – that and she is quite talented as well.

In a sense, this movie is quite the comparison to John Carpenter’s “The Thing” from 1982. According to Olivera, there are some similarities: the scientists, the isolation, and the cold weather.

Aside from what I learned from Olivera about this movie, I am super stoked to watch it and keep an eye out for my review. For those that would like to support Olivera, please follow her on Instagram and watch her in “The Ark” which sounds like a fascinating Sci-Fi series.

  • Season 4, Episode 49: Interview with Award-Winning Actress Jodi Lyn O’Keefe (Sarah) from “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later” (1998) – New Jersey Native!
    Aug 12 2024

What an absolute pleasure speaking to New Jersey native, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe! She is such a badass and talented actress… To be that talented, to act in almost every role that is handed to her, she is undoubtedly gifted.

There are some fans of the Halloween franchise that may not agree with what I said in the interview. But can you call yourselves true fans of the franchise if you don’t like the Halloween anniversary movies?

Halloween: H20 is most definitely a high-quality fan fiction that I can categorize as a functional movie that highlights the characters and their personalities and qualities. Although not a part of the original canon, the characters in this movie are much more charming than those in the Scream franchise.

What was covered in this interview: Jodi has given us the juicy information of some behind the scenes secrets, what it was like to work with Jamie Lee Curtis, and how Chris Durand (Michael Myers) walked around the set the entire time in costume and did not take it off until the movie was finished filming. Talk about scare tactics!

Overall, it was great speaking to Jodi. And I will say it again, she is very talented, and I was very sad to see her character Sarah die in the movie. To see such a lovable character die at the hand of Michael Myers is heart breaking.

  • Season 4, Episode 48: Interview with Award-Winning Actress Gina Louise Phillips (Camille) from “V/H/S/94” (2021)
    Aug 9 2024

Movie Synopsis: A police S.W.A.T. team investigate a mysterious VHS tape and discover a sinister cult that has pre-recorded material which uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.

    __________________________________________________

What an absolute pleasure speaking to Gina (not to get her mixed up with Gina Phillips from Jeepers Creepers)…

Although Gina has a brief role in “V/H/S/94”, it’s an important role; being a news anchor is not an easy job. Especially when you’re covering a story that’s invigorating as the “Ratman” in the sewers.

What did we talk about? Her role in the movie of course! She spoke of how she started her career as an actress in Toronto and how she heard of the role of “Camille’ – to be a part of the V/H/S Franchise is something to be very proud of. Ever since this movie was released, the bar for found footage has been raised and the rest of the movies that come after get better.

We also spoke how this movie really grabbed the essence of the 1990s with the costumes and the makeup (and the crazy hair style that Gina has). The 90s was a good era for coming out horror; Disturbing Behavior, Sleepwalkers, Stir of Echoes, House on Haunted Hill, In the Mouth of Madness – the list goes on and on.

She also expressed her gratitude for working alongside Pedro Pascal in “The Last of Us” for a short time and she also said that he cool as the public says. How awesome is that? To act in a series with Pedro? Pretty damn amazing in my opinion.
