Good show spoiled by self aggrandisement
I’ve listened to this podcast almost every day for a couple of years. Scott Adams (the author of Dilbert comics) is smart, an independent thinker and often funny. I’ve enjoyed his show and his insights into US politics.
Lately though he has become self-obsessed, spending a lot of time claiming his predictions about things are better than everyone else and (bizarrely) claiming that he has healed listeners of various ailments (through hypnosis or suggestions about treatment).
A listener called him out during a recent show for arrogance and Scott overreacted. I thought the listener had a point. But apparently Scott thought the only responses were to either 1) berate the listener or 2) cry himself to sleep. The better option may have been for Scott to take the opportunity for some genuine self reflection but instead Scott fried the poor guy. I may come back to it but I’ve stopped listening to it for now
