  • John Thorp's career began as a stuntman during the 1970s and 1980s on shows such as Hawaii 5-0 and The Six Million Dollar Man. After a severe injury in 1986, he was introduced to a new Therapy by Lee Majors. His life changed course after an extraordinary recovery. He went on to treat both humans and horses with a significant reduction in chronic pain and expedited recovery. He went on to study acupuncture and became a licensed massage therapist. He founded Intelligent Bioenergetics, Inc. and established The Thorp Institute of Intelligent Medicine. He has gained international notoriety with the Equiscope Microcurrent Therapy system. He continues disseminating his knowledge through testimonials, studies, and educational materials.
