श्लोक (Bhagavad Gita 16.24):

तस्माच्छास्त्रं प्रमाणं ते कार्याकार्यव्यवस्थितौ |
ज्ञात्वा शास्त्रविधानोक्तं कर्म कर्तुमिहार्हसि ||

भगवान श्री कृष्ण इस श्लोक में अर्जुन से कहते हैं कि शास्त्र ही कार्य और अकार्य की पहचान करने का प्रमाण है। अत: तुम्हें शास्त्र में जो विधि दी गई है, उसी के अनुसार कर्म करना चाहिए। इस प्रकार, शास्त्रविधान के अनुसार कर्म करने से ही सही दिशा में आगे बढ़ सकते हैं।

1. तस्माच्छास्त्रं प्रमाणं ते कार्याकार्यव्यवस्थितौ:

   • शास्त्र (धार्मिक ग्रंथ) ही कार्य और अकार्य की पहचान करने का प्रमाण है। शास्त्र का अनुसरण करके ही हम जान सकते हैं कि क्या सही है और क्या गलत है, और किसे करना चाहिए और किसे नहीं करना चाहिए।

2. ज्ञात्वा शास्त्रविधानोक्तं कर्म कर्तुमिहार्हसि:

   • तुम्हें शास्त्र के अनुसार कार्य करना चाहिए, क्योंकि शास्त्र ही मार्गदर्शन करता है कि किस प्रकार के कर्मों से आत्मा की उन्नति और मुक्ति होती है। शास्त्र की विधानानुसार कर्म करना तुम्हारे लिए अनिवार्य है।
