  • Summary

  • On a sullen, cloudy July day ten years since 7/7, the happy, confident and optimistic British Prime Minister is visiting a charity in East London. It's just two months after the general election which saw John Campbell's government returned to power with a clear majority, the economy is on the mend and the coalition is fast becoming a bad memory. Suddenly, a man appears out of the crowd and shoots him three times in the chest.

Step forward Alex Cartwright (Andrew Scott), MI5 Chief Counter Terrorism Officer who must find out the truth. But it's easier said than done, as he discovers that whoever ordered the assassination has covered their tracks very well indeed. Along with Ellen Townsend, his trusted second-in-command, Cartwright finds himself embroiled in a race against time which leads him into the murky heart of Westminster... and beyond.

From the pen of renowned screenwriter and novelist M J Arlidge, featuring an established British cast and with an exclusively-composed musical score, Six Degrees of Assassination is truly a thriller not to be missed.

A good political murder mystery!

Well written and good performances. I couldn't believe all of the entanglements encountered by the protagonist!

So good!!!

Andrew Scott is absolutely incredible. The entire cast does a stellar job with this international spy thriller. I don’t understand why there haven’t been more ratings… Especially since this is a freebie. People are missing out on an exceptional production. Well done!

Fun listen, solid acting, great production values

Audible should stop requiring a long-form review in order to leave ratings. It only reduces the overall quality of reviews.

Really good voice acting. Loved the Brit proper debates and insult hurling. Good, fun story!

Good story

A very good story line combining political assasination, a political party seeking a new leader amongst the interests of two world powers. There is plenty of personal interaction which helps to bring you into the story. The narration at times is a bit overdone but this is somewhat subjective. I like a full cast production and in that way it did not disappoint. Solid 4 out of 5.

British Drama

One of my favorites types of drama and I’m not all that into government drama stories. The leads are two of my favorite UK actors. Well done keep the storyline going season 2 please

Pretty cool

Not too original but I felt there were enough twists to make it interesting. Good listen and finding the culprit was worth it.

Surprisingly Good

Excellent performance, great plot very gripping with lots of unexpected and rewarding twists. The ending felt rushed and one of the characters felt out of step with the arc of their storyline (not the what, but the how); as a result fell into a common trope toward the end but beyond that it was clever and a fun ride.
