  • Preview: Phoebe's Fall
    Sep 29 2024

On December 2, 2010, the concierge at a luxury apartment tower in Melbourne, Australia, made a gruesome discovery. In the garbage room, she found the body of 24-year-old Phoebe Handsjuk. Phoebe plunged 12 stories down the garbage chute. She survived the fall, but was trapped, severely injured, and alone.

How did Phoebe end up in that garbage chute? Was it a tragic accident, suicide, or murder? We'll discuss as we preview Phoebe's Fall from the Sydney Morning Herald and the Age.

Here, we discuss only the first episode of the series to decide if this crime is worth your time. There will be no spoilers for anything after episode one. Check back here for our Full Recap next time, where we discuss the series as a whole. Preview episodes are released each Sunday. Full Recaps are released each Friday.

You can find Phoebe's Fall wherever you listen to podcasts, including on the Sydney Morning Herald.
