  • Episode 16: $BTC 100K? $MSTR, retail earnings, video games again, $NVDA and $SNOW earnings, hardware or SaaS, Thanksgiving!
    Nov 22 2024

Here it is folks, is Bitcoin going to hit $100K today? If it does, cool. If it doesn't cool. Saylor doesn't care though, he's creating the infinite money glitch to make him rich. The consumer is not rich though, Target reported earnings and the stock dumped over 20%! This is a stark contrast of Walmart's earnings. What gives? We talk about what might have happened. Then we discuss the good stuff, video games, uhhh huhhhhh. Nvidia can do no wrong and Snowflake is coming up! Is the market preparing for a rotation into software as a service stocks? We're heading into the Thanksgiving Holiday. What are you all up to and how do you celebrate? Mike is an undercover turkey chef and Stan laves Chinese food. • Episode 15: Birthdays, Hawaii vacation, new president, market and Bitcoin pump, inflation, buy or sell now, $SMCI, would you rather, 3 day sardine diet
    Nov 15 2024

We're back after a short break! Stan went on vacation and we have a new President elect, whoa. The market pumped like crazy on the news, but now it's retracing a little. Is it a good time to buy? Who knows but a lot of stocks are topping out, so maybe not. But if you can stomach the downtrend and wait for the uptrend, go for it, or don't. Oh the joy of trying to find a buy point. There is no joy in paying taxes though lol. Savings accounts aren't as good as they were before, but is it worth the risk to buy something while we're coming off all time highs? Probably not. $SMCI is definitely near all time highs. This dumpster fire is so intriguing to watch, we can't stop watching and reading about this train wreck. Watch out! We partake in some would you rather questions. Stan is in the middle of a 3 day sardine diet, don't judge! Do you have any comments that you want to share? Got any questions? Earnings sent our heads spinning this week, what a crazy week with some of biggest names reporting. ChatGPT vs Google, fight! Stan prefers ChatGPT now and Mike prefers Google. Which one do you prefer? More SMCI bad news, this thing is a house of cards. Do you parents out there have or don't have 529 accounts? Would you create one? • Episode 13: Halloween, costumes, $TSLA, $GM, $CVNA, $MSFT and $BTC, Atari, mobile games
    Oct 25 2024

Tesla's incredible earnings beat and overall future. What a crazy pump! It looks like the auto industry is just on a crazy rip with these lower rates, but how the heck did Carvana get this high? Help us understand why Microsoft and Bitcoin may join forces. This could be a catalyst for the crypto industry itself, hold onto your horses. Do you HODL or trade? Either way, don't sell courses on X/Twitter lol. Just buy movies so you can watch them over and over again. Stan has way too many Disney movies. Are mobile games the future? Stan thinks so, Mike's son disagrees. PC vs Mobile, fight! Do you have any comments that you want to share? Got any questions? • Episode 12: Viva Las Vegas!, bathroom mishap, online dating, pumps and dumps, bellwether $BANC and safe havens, $MSTR money glitch, $MNST, $CELH, $BTC
    Oct 20 2024

In this episode, Stan talks about his Vegas trip and a bathroom dilemma. Is it ok to buy high and sell higher? Nobody wants to get rugged, but that FOMO is kicking in for everyone! Maybe the banks are a bellwether to this crazy market. It looks like Buffett sold a pretty big stake in $BANC, could there be something he sees that everyone else doesn't? Apparently Saylor has found an infinite money glitch, pure genius. $MNST and $CELH are quenching that money making thirst recently, what a ride they have taken people on over the last couple years. Even $BTC has been looking good, give us that entry point! Do you have any comments that you want to share? Got any questions? Let us know at sourkimchipodcast@gmail.com

  • Episode 11: Robotaxi, $TSLA, who is Satoshi? $BTC, $RBLX short report, China stimulus, inflation, $PLTR, $ZM, $PYPL, $NVDA
    Oct 11 2024

In this episode we discuss the HBO documentary "Money Electric." This was definitely an entertaining movie, would recommend, I'm definitely watching it again. We're watching RBLX too, Hindenburg is at it again and put out a short report on this, what's going to happen to it? It took a pretty big dip when the report came out, can it recover? TSLA recovered pretty nicely recently, and will it go even higher after the We, Robot event? There were some good things, and maybe some not so good things. Not gonna life, robots scare me. Chinese stocks have taken a turn for the better lately. Stimulus announcements provided a quick pump, but will it last. The real estate developments didn't last, oof. Hopefully this inflation doesn't last, the market doesn't care, it is near or at all time highs, how can this be while everyone is hurting. The pandemic high flyer stocks are hurting for suuuuuuure. • Episode 10: Relax, poor Siri, SAVE, port strike, prompt engineering, CHWY, SNOW, NKE
    Oct 4 2024

In this episode we take it easy and chat about the little things in life, and of course more AI. How can we not, it's literally taking over. It'll take jobs, probably even port worker jobs, but will it help Siri? I (Stan) am an Apple fanboy but even I admit that Siri is poop. Let's hope Apple Intelligence does something to give it some life.

At least we don't have to worry about toilet paper now, the port strike is over! That was quick, thank goodness. But what does the future hold for port jobs? Or even a lot of jobs in general? Robots and automation are becoming more prominent in every single industry. Are we headed toward utopia, or something worse? San Francisco is starting to get its groove back though, AI companies are popping up everywhere, is this the start of the SF resurgence? Roaring Kitty doesn't give AF though. SNOW and NKE let's gooooo. When's the rug going to get pulled, when! When it does we'll HELOC the house and buy Bitcoin LOL, not really.

  • Episode 9: Everyone gets rekt once, investing strategies, midlife, SMCI and MU, kids update, shoes, and too much news.
    Sep 26 2024

If any investor says they never got rekt, they're lying! We all go through that pain at least once, but hey, that's how we learn right. Do you invest in dividend stocks? Some people like them, some don't, hear our takes on long term investing and midlife crises. Kinda like the crisis SMCI is going through right now, where's the 10-K dude?! MU blasted off after hours. Looks like a good sign for the chips and NASDAQ futures, wow. The kids will be ok, but not if they keep buying these crazy shoes! How did running shoes get so expensive? Real question, we wanna know.
