We have enjoyed every aspect of this series. There are gender expansive children in our multiracial family, and having a series that truly has morsels of delight for everyone to savor is so lovely. My personal favorite is that the pack of misfit friends remain social misfits even as they gain recognition for achievements. Popularity is not something they garner, and that feels more true to human experience.

the characters are so good! only complaint is that the 3rd book is taking a while

There are so many plot holes and unbelievable things in this book... are all wizard adults idiots? you stole here is the letter... I didn't write that.... don't lie to me..

next chapter.
return items to owner invocation....... but its a highschool spell.

a highschool level spell could prove his innocence...... and the teachers can't be bothered to cast it?

this is just one small example of bad writing and artificial struggle.
