This fascinating and entertaining podcast is narrated by my very favorite artist, Stephen Fry! His expressive and well-modulated voice makes anything a joy to experience!

I enjoyed this series very much but I suspect I would enjoy it even more if all the episodes were present. As with all of Mr. Fry’s other historical podcasts, this one is well researched and very interesting. I just wish I could hear the end of it!

Stephen Frye is by far the best narrator I’ve ever heard. And the subject intrigued me. My mother had experience a traumatic brain injury in an auto accident. It took us a year of hard work to help her relearn how to communicate her thoughts properly and within 2 years…she was almost back to normal (Altho her stamina noticeably less than prior to the accident). I learned a lot…even why our family’s “unorthodox” method of rehabilitation actually worked. A GREAT LISTEN…one I will enjoy again.

Stephen is an international treasure

A good basic grounding on the brain and consciousness. if you listen in the car the background sound effects and music are quiet but annoying. While Stephen is an excellent narrator I wish he'd tone down very slightly the dramatic effects. A summary of brain research read as though it's a chapter in Harry Potter is disconcerting at times.
