  • The Living Dead: A Look Inside Cotard’s Syndrome
    Jul 3 2025
SNU is dark this week, so here is an episode that you might not have heard previously... or might just want to listen to again.

Feeling dead inside is one thing, but truly believing it is a mysterious, medical reality. With only about 200 known cases worldwide, Cotard’s Syndrome is a rare condition characterized by delusions of missing body parts, lost organs or being dead altogether –even while technically living to tell the tale. In this episode, we’ll go over the history of Cotard’s Syndrome, the stories of people who’ve suffered from it and the theories behind how it can confound and take hold of our minds and bodies.

I love the diversity of topics. I have been listening for a few years now and plan to continue to follow her content!

LOVE

I am a HUGE fan of all things from the Obsessed Network but I cannot with this host. I have tried to push through cause I love all the strange and unexplained but she just inserts too much of her own personal views, sarcastic and annoyingly. And I feel it gets worse with each episode. Also, the voice actors are the worst. So bad. I love Patrick Hinds but, Patricia, please have her tone it down.

I’m not good at rating each podcast. I want listeners and critics to know this episode was extremely enlightening and well put together. I am a fan of Daisy’s podcasts! Thanks Daisy!!

Many of the reviews are complaining about Daisy's social commentary. I think it speaks more to THEIR issues than Daisy's. Duh. She makes me think and laugh while learning about some crazy aspect of human life.

It's called comedy, folks!

First, ignore all the comments about sarcasm. Daisy is a sardonic genius and her delivery is flawless. She's unapologetically foul-mouthed because, well, it's her podcast. Don't take life too seriously and enjoy the show! :)

I love this show. Here's why...

Hey, okay, it's not for everyone, but it's just right for me. We're living in incredible times (i.e. not credible)... This podcast helps me keep things in perspective and laugh, and god knows we could all use a good laugh. The stories are fascinating. Some stories are totally new to me and the ones I've heard before, I'm hearing in a new and entertaining way. Personally, I enjoy Eagan's performative perspective and sardonic wit. So, keep it up, guys. I'm looking forward to more stories from you.

Good stories, fun performances by Eagan

This is my favorite podcast. I started listening since I can't get it to play on my regular music app.

The Best Podcast.

I love her sarcasm, it's a nice way to balance the darkness of the unfortunate stories. She's funny, she lightens up the mood but still has the seriousness for the stories talked about. You're doing great Daisy, you have an awesome podcast!

She's great, I love this podcast!

What a badass. I look forward to a new episode’s release every week with impatience, delight, and a bit of a smirk. It doesn’t matter if I’ve heard about the topic before—I want Daisy’s take.
Thank you, Daisy.

I have enjoyed this podcast since it started, I like daisy's humor and sarcasm, and I enjoy her take on things. Her podcast has some very funny moments in the stories she tells and information she provides. Most podcasts about topics like this come from a place that already assumes everything is 100% true, so it's nice to hear something different. She isn't saying nothing is true, but explains why she isn't convinced or what research has started to change her mind. She's a great writer and her voice ia really pleasing to listen to also.

skeptical host + odd topics = sarcastic fun
