The Japanese use the art of Kintsugi to repair breaks in pottery using a lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. The ideology is beautiful: an item can become more beautiful if we work to carefully and thoughtfully piece it back together, making those breaks become a stunning and unique feature of the object. Your breaks are part of your story. Big and small, the way we work to care for ourselves, to piece it all back together to create a more beautiful version of ourselves is what matters.
