THE ONE I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS by Fiona Davenport

  • Summary

  • Holly Lane hadn’t planned to take a trip on Santa’s lap this year, but her best friend talks her into it anyway. Only it isn’t a what that she’s wishing for this year… it’s a who. But what are the odds that Santa can fit Jacob Marley in her stocking? Warning: Some of the best gifts come in small packages. Which is a good thing since this sweet & sexy novella is short… but not as short as the blurb! Love this Christmas romance!

I loved this story. I read it a while ago but listening to it is great. It was entertaining and enjoyable. There were lots of smiles to be had and even a little laughter. Holly and Jacob were high school sweethearts until they were separated when Jacob moved away with his family. Holly made a Christmas wish. Jacob’s thinking made sense, but I felt that he left a lot up to chance. His belief in their love was super sweet. Holly was all in as well and together they were so cute.

I liked the narrator and she did an excellent job with the characters and the story. With the dual view points I always feel like there should be a male narrator for the male point of view. Again, the narrator did an excellent job of bringing the story to life and listening to her was a pleasure.

I recommend listening to this podcast/story.
