  • Ep 260: Graves Disease, Your Thyroid & How To Support It In Perimenopause w/ the Graves Disease Chef Mina Grace
    Nov 21 2024

2 million people get diagnosed with graves disease in the USA alone each year. Statistically speaking, the majority of patients that are diagnosed are women between the ages of 45 to 55. That demographic has shifted significantly and expanded to now include more women between the child bearing ages of 25 to 35+. It's mind blowing and there remains little to no information out there to help find natural and more holistic ways to get to the other side of the disease. Our expert guest today was diagnosed with Graves Disease over 10 years ago, and she was told that the only solution to get better was to remove her thyroid or undergo radiation to shrink it... then be medicated for the rest of her life. Those were NOT healthy options to her so she found her own way and today she shares how she got started and is now in remission.

Mina Grace Ward, The Graves’ Disease Chef, is on a mission to help people starve Graves’ Disease so they can thrive and not just survive. Mina Grace, founder of MGW & Company, is defying limitations and the status quo. After a successful political career spanning nearly 25 years, she emerged from an 18-year retirement to share her healing journey and hope for others battling Autoimmune Graves' Disease. A passionate advocate for health awareness, she’s a testament to resilience. She's a recipe developer having created over 800+ plant-forward tested and perfected recipes and she’s also an author, empowering others with her books like “The Graves’ Disease Chef Cookbook – How to Master Simple to Gourmet Plant-Based Flavors from Around the World” and the first of its kind Guidebook, "There Had to Be Another Way - Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do for Graves’ Disease." As the "Graves' Disease Chef" on social media, she hosts cooking demos and provides resources and support for those battling the condition.

Easily adaptable recommendations.

I have listened to 2 recent episodes and I love the practical advice provided. side note: I think you might need a new microphone or turn the volume up, your mic sounds distant. I hope that helps.
