About this listen
WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia might not be as smooth as WWE hoped. With travel issues caused by rising tension in the Middle East and WWE talent already getting stuck overseas, the event is still scheduled but there are definitely questions about how this plays out, and fan concerns about how John Cena vs CM Punk for the last time could be overlooked because of it. On top of that, Tony Khan apparently thinks AEW is having its “biggest year ever,” even with a 24 percent drop in viewership. He told Yahoo Finance that AEW's audience is growing, which is just not true, and we’ve got the numbers to prove it. That’s not all from our friend Tony Khan. He reportedly adding not one but two new championships to AEW. That includes women’s tag titles and father-son tag titles, which is apparently why we’ve been seeing more of Christian Cage and Nick Wayne, and Billy Gunn with The Acclaimed. It’s AEW bloat on a whole new level. Jon Moxley is being sued by a former AEW production crew member who claims Mox assaulted him during a Dynamite taping in Detroit. AEW is also being hit with a gross negligence accusation, and the story is wild. We’ll break down exactly what’s going on and what this means for Mox and the company. There’s drama around Britt Baker, with real talk that she might be WWE-bound, even though she’s still under AEW contract. Jamie Hayter’s out with an injury and AEW had to rework the women’s division around it. Mercedes Moné vs Toni Storm is the reported direction for All In, even though the original opponent was Mariah May—who’s now in WWE. Oh, and AEW is reportedly pissed behind the scenes because WWE is unhappy about AEW talent like Wardlow and Kamille appearing on American Gladiators with The Miz. It’s petty, it’s ridiculous, and we’ll talk about that too. We’re also talking FTR and the stalled Cope/Christian storyline, Athena vs Thunder Rosa being set for All In: Texas, and the return of the Casino Gauntlet matches with possible creative for both the Men, and the Women. Plus, Rikishi is calling out WWE creative for how they booked Jey Uso’s title reign, Liv Morgan’s injury has completely scrapped Evolution 2 plans, and there are rumors of Ethan Page and Ricky Starks joining Seth Rollins’ new faction on Raw. LA Knight might be moving to Raw for the Netflix era, Nick Khan told Twitter fans to shove it and “trust the data,” and Goldberg says he deserves a title shot at 58 because “176-0.” He also told Bully Ray to bite him. You really can’t make this stuff up. Celebrate 100 episodes of Tuesday Night Titans with @JDfromNY and @TheSolomonster
