  • African Cup Of Nations 2021: Discussion EP 1
    Jan 10 2022
Discussion of the African Cup Of Nations With My brothers, Daa Joe & Dappy Tylo. The Sports Minister Of Ghana announces US$25m budget for AFCON, World Cup qualification. Ghana is in a group with Morocco, Guinea and Comoros; a team looks rather strong on paper. The Confederation of Africa on its official website has said there would be no prize reward at the group stage of the AFCON. This implies all of Ghana's investment would be for nothing should th team be kicked out of the competition at the group state. The Black Stars takes on Morocco in their opening Group C game at the Ahmadou Ahidjio Sports Stadium on Monday. The Serbian coach named 18 debutants in his 28-man squad and has one of the youngest teams at the tournament. Speaking to the media at the pre-match conference, Milovan Rajevac is optimistic his team will go far in the tournament. "Nobody believes us. Nobody rates us as favorites for this tournament but we are here to prove them wrong. It's good for us" Ghana is hoping to end its 40-year AFCON title drought at this year's tournament. The Black Stars of Ghana begin their quest for a fifth African Cup of Nations trophy on Monday, January 10, 2022, with a match against the Atlas Lions of Morocco. The two African football giants square it off in a Group C opener with both teams eager to begin the tournament on a sound note. Whiles Ghana is chasing a fifth trophy which has been elusive for the past forty years, Morocco on the other hand are eyeing a second trophy. Ghana and Morocco have a history in the AFCON having met thrice in the competition. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/talkwithprince/support
