Interesting and engaging

As an American who recently moved to France, this podcast is fascinating and adds so much context to the current culture of France as I’m experiencing it today.

This is the most amazing history podcast ever.

It happens to be about the french revolution. Ive read books about the topic, but this delightful podcast tops them all

A thoroughly charming ride

The level of knowledge and insight possessed by the caster is matched only by his lack of pretension and ability to tell an interesting story.

When he's on ground he knows well he is astonishingly informative and when he is on ground he knows less well he gets someone to help him who knows the ground really well.

I thought I knew a lot about Napoleon before this podcast. I had no idea how little I knew.

if you have any interest in subject you're in for a good time

Good Stuff

Please make more episodes. This podcast is great. The level of detail and research is wonderful. This show doesn't just do a good job at making you feel like you understand Napoleon as a person, but also covers the general trends of the time quite well.

My Favorite Podcast!

After spending the last four years listening to every episode of The History of Rome and Hardcore History, this is my new FAVORITE podcast!

The knowledge and passion of the host is apparent as no detail is left unexamined, whether it's interpersonal relationships of the historic actors or the context of the wider world they lived in.

It's a much longer examination of a subject than any Dan Carlin series with none of the mid series slog of names and dates that History of Rome suffered from. Keep it up!!!!

recap less.. move the story along

I think it would be wise to assume the folk listening to your podcast can remember facts you stated a single episode ago. you repeat information so much I sometimes think events happened twice.

also just talk faster man my family listens to your show at 1.75x speed, on my honor.
