Pain and suffering and loss are a part of life. It was a part of life for the rich and powerful Stoics like Marcus and Seneca, it was a part of life for the powerless like Epictetus, and it's a part of life today.

This is a must listen to podcast if you're on the path to wisdom. Ryan takes ancient philosophy and presents it in such a way that it is accessible to modern people of all education levels. Do the work to make yourself better. Sure, there are ads but everyone has to eat, if you can't sit through a few minutes of ads, perhaps you should learn more patience, in which case listen to the podcast, it'll help.

Ryan Holiday is the disappointment panda

He is a superhero for our time.
He does not tell you what you WANT to hear, he tells you what you NEED to hear. Those harsh truths that make us better humans. Helps us see the things we need to fix and encourages us with calming eloquence and practiced annunciation. The Daily Stoic is by far my favorite podcast, and I cant wait for next week when courage is calling releases on my audible app!

Part of my morning ritual

I enjoy the message and the thoughts it leaves me with. I have been listening for a little over a month. I don’t do everything he suggests but I do get a lot from Stoicism and the practice. This is a great thing to add to your daily practice.

I am not a journal guy at all, but I do start and end my day with a review.
