Mobility Issues and Wedding Dress Shopping

Over the years, Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo has accommodated special needs when it comes to bridal gown appointments. Many of those needs included mobility issues and illnesses of guests attending the bridal appointments. They were grandmothers, elderly aunts and parents experiencing health issues. Fortunately, our store's layout is very conducive to accommodating these special requirements.

On a few occasions, however, we have accommodated a bride with mobility issues or a chronic illness. We were all too happy to help the brides experience a very special wedding dress shopping excursion.

Some time ago, we wrote a blog called Wedding Dress Shopping for Brides With Mobility Issues, Chronic illness. While not on the top of everyone's mind when wedding dress shopping, we found this to be an immensely useful blog for our brides, her guests and even our staff.

On today's Darianna® Diaries, we have boiled this blog down into a useful podcast and talk about the issues facing brides with less than ordinary requirements.

Keeping the Bride in Mind

Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo wrote a blog called Guest Attire: What to Wear to a Wedding Dress Appointment. This has been an immensely popular blog so we decided to make it part of the Darianna® Diaries podcasts.

In the podcast we discuss the main themes of the blog by advising what you, the guest, should wear when you go on the wedding dress shopping appointments with the bride. The first step is not to wear things to upstage the bride. It is her day, after all, and part of your job is to be supportive of her and make her feel like she is the most important person at the appointments.

As with all of our podcasts, we go a little further than the original blog and cover other aspects of the bridal appointment. We go into the social media influence of the appointments, ways to be supportive of the bride, beyond what you wear and making the bridal shopping journey a happy and memorable day for the bride and her guests.

Most of the advice is practical and simple. Listening to this podcast and implementing even a few of the pieces of advice will make you the perfect guest for the bride.
