  • Word patterns disprove "headship" theories. Part 4 with Zach and Bruce.
    Nov 10 2024

"Headship" isn't taught in the Bible and all the arguments in favor of it turn out to be weak arguments. So let's focus on what the Bible IS teaching us. At first, Zach returns to "headship" theories but Bruce redirects the discussion to the word patterns in Ephesians 5-6.

Bruce takes Zach to Ephesians 6:1-4. There they discuss not only the parallels with the Ten Commandments (Honor your father and mother) but also Leviticus 19:3 (Each of you shall fear his mother and father).

There is much more in Ephesians 5:15-6:9 to look at. We recommend our book Beyond Eden, Ephesians 5:15-6:9, the Great Mystery revealed: Mutually Submitting in Christ. It is available as an audiobook on Audible and as an eBook and paperback from Amazon.

The Tru316 Message is that “God didn’t curse Eve (or Adam) or limit woman in any way.” Once Genesis 3:16 is made clear the other passages on women and men become clear too. • Women in Ministry in the Free Church. A History. Part 1.
    Nov 3 2024

Della Olson, First Lady of the Evangelical Free Church published her support for women and ministry. Ruth Kantzer, First Lady of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School heartily agreed! Dr. Joy Fleming reads from Della's book and adds her personal reminiscences.

Should women lead in ministry? YES! And here is documentation that they did so across Scandinavia and North America in recent times.

Dr. Joy Fleming reads from Della Olson's book, "A Woman of Her Times." The subtitle is, "Stories of women who dared to place obedience to the commands of Christ above submission to the traditions of men." She recounts the stories of women who were leaders in ministry in Scandinavia and around the world in the 1800's and 1900's even though some wanted to restrict them from ministry. Della Olson was an executive, an editor, and an author as well as mother and wife of Dr. Arnold T. Olson, President of the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Hang on!

We have embraced many traditions that are not scriptural, and Bruce and Joy are working to unravel us from our incorrect thinking, and free us to read what the Bible says, instead of what we've been told it says. Hang on, it is quiet a ride! L
