Dr. Todd Johnson

How does God use a man who was baptized as a Scandinavian Lutheran and joined a Charismatic mission agency before marrying a Presbyterian in a Congregational church? In what ways did his background which includes baptizing his daughter in an Anglican church, while working for a Baptist mission, and joining the faculty of an Evangelical seminary prepare him for research in global Christianity? This is the story of Todd Johnson, who in the spirit of John 3:16, learned about Jesus as a global savior in Cambodia.

Dr. Todd M. Johnson is the Eva B. and Paul E. Toms Distinguished Professor of Mission and Global Christianity and Co-Director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is also a visiting Research Fellow at Boston University’s Institute for Culture, Religion, and World Affairs. Todd earned his Ph.D. at William Carey University.

The focus that guides his music and chaplain ministry is the need to “Live a worship lifestyle.” He serves as a race chaplain for Racing with Jesus Ministries and is credentialed through the Chaplains Collective.

This is the story of Dr. Ruth Melkonian-Hoover who lives out a legacy, one that continues to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Dr. Ruth Melkonian-Hoover is a professor in the Political Science Department at Gordon College. She graduated from Biola University before earning her M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University. With Lyman Kellstedt, she co-authored Evangelicals and Immigration: Fault Lines Among the Faithful (2019).

This is the story of Dr. Johnson Pang, a biblical scholar and a man with a heart for missions who serves as a pastor. As in Philippians 1:26 his prayer is that God would use him and his family so others will have “ample cause to glory in Christ.”
Dr. Johnson Pang is the Executive Pastor of Discipleship at Community Christian Alliance Church in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Economics, earned his Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary and his Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Emily. God has given them three children and taken one home.

Dr. Kenneth Barnes is the Mockler-Phillips Professor of Workplace Theology and Business Ethics at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. His research and teaching are the intersections of theology and economics and faith at work. He is the author of Redeeming Capitalism. He is married to Debby. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

This is the story of Zack Johnson, an example of conviction, character, and courage toward equipping students for Jesus’ peaceful revolution.

Mr. Zack Johnson is the president of Sattler College. He holds a Master in Public Policy concentrating in International and Global Affairs from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor's degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Management. He worked for the Air Force as a congressional analyst before receiving an honorable discharge as a conscientious objector. He also spent time in Mozambique working in development and disaster relief.

Because of their extensive international travels, they make their church home at New Creation Church in Singapore, where they have had pastoral relationships since 1991.

John began his life insurance career in 1986 and has been a respected industry leader qualifying yearly for membership in the Million Dollar Round Table. He is married to Cathy and resides in Wellesley with their six children (and grandson). He serves in community ministry as a member of St. Paul’s Parish in Wellesley.
