On this episode we are joined by Peter Worrell, former NHLer who played 391 Games with the Florida Panthers and Colorado Avalanche - amassing 1554 penalty minutes while obtaining his "PhD in hockey" learning from 10 current Hockey Hall of Famers including Joe Sakic, Pavel Burke, Peter Forsberg and others.Worrell is currently the Director of Youth Hockey for the Florida Panthers and also spent time coaching North Broward Prep (11 Years) and Fayetteville Marksmen of the SPHL. He is focused on giving back to the game and paying it forward in an effort to grow the game. Worrell's current infinitives include building a dedicated girl's hockey program.
During his career Worrell often dealt with racism, beginning in juniors, and chronicled what he endured in a 2018 essay for CBC Sports, The racist incident I’ll never forget, which offers up some important lessons including "never give oxygen to a coward”
