  • Furness Show 10-3: AJ Barner, Stewart Mandel, Corbin Smith, Brandon Funston.
    Oct 3 2024
AJ Barner, Seahawks TE joins Ian to talk about his experience getting more involved in the offense over the past few games. As much as it was gratifying to score in Detroit, he has no plans to remain satisfied. He also tells us what a short week means on the body and the mentality for a player. He also previews what he sees happening in the Michigan vs. UW game this weekend. Stewart Mandel, The Athletic joins Ian to break down what we saw in last weekend in college football, the new realignment of the Pac-12 and who we might see flirting with the newly revamped conference in the near future. Plus, a preview of the 'National Championship Rematch' this weekend between UW and Michigan. Is the Michigan vs. UW game really a rematch? Corbin Smith, Seahawks Maven and Locked on Seahawks joins us to talk about the positives we can take away from the first Seahawks loss of the season. Geno Smith is emerging better at this point in his career than we've ever seen from him. Plus, the lacking on the defensive side was most certainly due to those who were out with injury, but even with that, we saw some great strides. Is Ryan Grubb finally the guy knows how to use DK Metcalf? AJ Hinch made some remarks yesterday after the Tigers took out the Astros and we harken back to whether the Mariners poor play was a catalyst for Detroit's resurgence in the latter part of the season. The Daily Power Play! Brandon Funston, The Athletic gives us the unofficial start to the weekend as we prepare for YOUR fantasy performance. Funston graciously answers all the questions you have.

  • Furness Show 10-2: Gary Parrish, Steve Palazzolo and Mike Holmgren
    Oct 2 2024
The negative feelings about the Mariners in this town are becoming exhausting, so we're moving on. The world of the NIL continues to be a bit of a mystery at times. What do these deals truly mean and how strong is the commitment when signed? Gary Parrish, CBS Sports reacts to the Zags joining the Pac-12. How big is this for the conference and what does it do for Gonzaga moving forward? Gary thinks it made way more sense for Memphis to join the Pac-12 than not. He hopes to see them make a move in the future. We react to Gary Parrish's thoughts on the latest movement in college basketball. Steve Palazzolo, The 33rd Team tells us what he saw on tape from the Seahawks game against the Lions on Monday. Can we be as encouraged as we felt by the offense, and with so many out on defense this week, are there concerns? Seahawks Head Coach Mike Macdonald spoke to the media earlier today and we take a listen to what he expects moving forward after his first loss with the team. Ian wants to know what fans think of Mike Macdonald so far. Mike Holmgren, Legendary NFL Coach is impressed by Geno Smith's performance, even in a game where they lost. If Geno gets a little more protection up front, he could do something special this season. Coach tells us some stories of his own time that relate to what the Seahawks are going through right now.

  • Furness Show 10-1: Jon Ryan, Joe Sheehan, Cougar Roundtable.
    Oct 1 2024
Ian almost bailed on the show today once his keycard didn't work, but Jess is on it. Gonzaga basketball is the biggest athletics brand in the state, and joining the Pac-12 truly legitimizes the conference in basketball. The Seahawks might've lost last night, but we saw a lot of progress. Ian explains why you should be encouraged. Jon Ryan, Former Seahawk Punter gives his take on what the Seahawks lockerroom is like after a loss, however, how encouraged he was by the offensive resurgence. How critical is a top tier quarterback and where is Geno Smith right now when it comes to being one of the best in the league? Jon also tells us what he thinks of DK Metcalf and how the fumble, although bad, doesn't take away from how great he is. Where do you stand on Pete Rose after his passing? Ian shares his take. Joe Sheehan, The Joe Sheehan Newsletter tells us what he thinks about Pete Rose following his passing and how it compares to other 'rule breakers'. What's the feeling on the future of the Mariners, as we're watching postseason baseball without them? Joe flat out says Jerry Dipoto made the offense worse and that's why the Mariners missed the playoffs. He also tells us the bullpen is more important than the starting rotation in the postseason. Pete Rose passed away and we discuss the embattled path he was on in baseball. Should he be in the Hall of Fame? Where does his misstep lie in baseball history? The Daily Power Play! The Cougar Roundtable! Alex Brink and Mkristo Bruce tell Ian what went wrong for the Cougs on Saturday Night. What happened and how do they treat this bye week to prevent the wheels from coming off like they did after the bye last year?
