Erik Cooper is a 40-year-old professional adventurist and
passionate equestrian, originally from a horse farm in the heart of
Middle America. With a thirst for exploration, Erik has traveled to
some of the world's most remote regions, including Mongolia and
Patagonia, where he has cultivated deep, lasting friendships with

Kate Pilcher is the founder of Globetrotting, a travel agency offering horse riding holidays and unique horse cultural experiences all around the world. Kate discovered this remarkable form of travel at age 25, when she ran away from her business, her boyfriend Steven, and her mortgage in pursuit of the magic that comes with exploring new, wild places in the saddle. She worked as a horse riding guide in Kenya and Argentina, and learnt conversational Kiswahili and Spanish. When she finally returned home, Globetrotting was born. Will Rogers originally joined the podcast back in 2021, on Episode 43. Warwick gets the opportunity to re-interview Will in front of a live audience during Equitana Melbourne 2024. Will had also just recently presented at The Journey On Podcast Summit in Birmingham, England, earlier in August, so it was a great pleasure to spend more time with him in person.

Along with being a world-class Dressage trainer and rider, Will Rogers is the founder of the Espire Foundation, which promotes a way of keeping, handling, and training horses where an understanding of their nature creates a foundation for horse friendly communication. Will began working with horses in South Australia. Eventually, he made the move to the United States to pursue a career training cutting horses. After two years in America, Will traveled to Denmark to reconnect with his good friend Tristan Tucker whom he had earlier worked with in Australia. After becoming fascinated with dressage, Will’s purpose became to share ideas and seek a better understanding of horses as well as a better way to train and work with them. His aim was to open up opportunities to develop a more advanced and refined approach to training horses. Will now puts on live performances that showcase the unique partnership he creates with his horses during liberty work. In this episode, Will and Warwick discuss the self-reflective practices that allow them to be with their horses in a raw and purposeful way.

He is married to fellow New Zealand eventing rider Jonelle Price, forming a powerhouse duo. Caleb Degen, a 27-year-old horseman, has built a career driven by his passion for all things horses. His journey began in the Equine Mastery Program at TKIS with coach Leah McCarron where he was lucky enough to compete in eventing throughout his high school career, laying the foundation for the next few years where he delved into the world of polo completing a season in the UK.

Currently, Caleb serves as the Equine Coordinator at Australian Outback Spectacular and has been with the show for nearly 9 years, assisting in the management and training the horses for this acclaimed live show. His role involves overseeing their care, training, and performing alongside his equine counterparts as well as ensuring they are well-prepared for their captivating performances. He has been lucky enough to be trained and assisted in both trick riding and liberty work by one of the countries greatest Horsewomen “Zelie Bullen.”
