  • Carrying the Message en Español: The Spanish-Speaking Area of NA in Northern California
    May 5 2025

In this episode of The Living Clean Podcast, we sit down with three members of the Spanish-Speaking Area of Narcotics Anonymous in the Northern California Region — a service structure built not on geography, but on language and culture.

Together, we explore the origins of this unique area, the challenges they faced in forming it, and how language can serve as both a bridge and a barrier in carrying the message.

From stories of resilience and unity to the powerful impact of hearing the NA message in one’s heart language, this conversation highlights how service can adapt to meet the needs of the still-suffering addict — no matter where they are.

Tune in to hear how this area continues to grow, connect, and serve with love, one Spanish-speaking addict at a time.

  • The Gratitude Exercise: A Two-Part Series (Part 2)
    May 11 2025

In this week’s episode, we continue our gratitude series with more voices from the fellowship. Joining us are Aaron, Charles, and Tracy — along with Judy, who shared her experience in Part 1 — plus Brady D., the original creator of the exercise, and of course our cohost Francis.

Together, they reflect on what it was like to walk through the four-week gratitude exercise, the challenges they faced, and the gifts they discovered along the way. Their honest experiences remind us that practicing gratitude isn’t just a feel-good activity — it’s a powerful tool for growth and connection.

Thanks for being part of the journey with us.

  • The Gratitude Exercise: A Two-Part Series (Part 1)
    May 4 2025

In this week’s episode, we dive into a special gratitude exercise created by Brady D. and our cohost Francis — an idea born from a late-night conversation at the Out of the Darkness Into the Light convention in Decatur, Alabama earlier this year. Just a group of addicts sitting around, kicking around ideas for the podcast, when the concept of a structured gratitude practice came to life.

What started as a simple conversation turned into a one-month gratitude exercise, broken down into four weeks with specific goals and objectives. Several members took part in the exercise, both personally and through our Facebook page. In this two-part series, we’ll be sharing a few of their experiences and reflections.

We hope you enjoy the journey — and maybe even feel inspired to try the exercise yourself.
