    Chapter 7: Small Town Romance

    Text:

As Phillip Keller's corvette headed back to 400,

And the Joneses began dinner and sat there and wondered-

Why Phillip Keller wanted their land so badly,

A different sports car pulled up and Cyrus squealed gladly.

The black Trans-Am with so much love and work put inside it,

Ferried her favorite person in the world. Oh man, was she excited!

Cyrus: "I'm sorry Mom and Dad, I forgot,

Connor wanted to take me out!"

Emily: "No problem, sweetie. See you soon!"

Cyrus: "Thanks!" Cyrus said with a shout.

    She ran out

    Without a single doubt.

This is what love songs are really singin’ ’bout.

There’s never any hate, and never any doubt.

This is the person that you’re meant for. It’s not by chance.

    It’s nothing but a small, small-town romance.

Years ago when Cyrus was young A boy came to her Sunday school class.

He stole her headband to get her attention.

He said “Sorry” and they became friends fast.

Love stories like this come only in small towns

Where people don't leave each other, they stick around.

And even one day their parents knew they’d find

both of them married; they were that entwined.

This is what love songs really mean at the heart.

It begins the second you meet, right from the very start.

You’re best friends forever, even at first glance.

    It’s nothing but a small, small-town romance.

So that night when Connor came in his Trans Am

He picked up Cyrus and drove somewhere grand.

    He planned on taking her to Stone Mountain;

But a gas leak kept all of that from happenin’.

So instead he drove to a much smaller place,

A little neighborhood that survived by God’s grace.

A cul-de-sac on top of a large mound:

And you could see all of Atlanta from on top lookin’ down.

They had a picnic right there with fried chicken and sweet tea,

But then all of a sudden Connor said: ”Cyrus, will you marry me?”

Even down the road, when you’re talkin’ ’bout forever

You really can’t remember a time, you were never together.

So it’s really not hard, to maintain that stance.

It’s nothing but a small, smalltown romance.

    Jul 1 2025

    Series: Craic In The World

    Season 1: These Last Days

    Episode 1: Come Together

    Chapter 3: The Protector

    Text:

Shots were fired into the air,

    Making the crowd scatter quick.

Jayshawn pulled her through an alleyway,

That with people, was less thick.

They rounded a bend and came to his house,

He fumbled around for his keys.

He unlocked the door, and they stepped inside-

Jayshawn: "Would you tell me, please?!

    Why is Agent Smith there,

and why is he mad at you?!

    What in God's green earth

    And sam-hill did you do!?"

Woman: "Why did you bring me here?

    Did you pick that lock?"

    Jayshawn: "What?" Jayshawn said,

    His confidence rocked.

    "What are you talking about?

    Are you mental or something?

    Why in the world-

    Was that man coming-

    At you like that,

    With gun in hand?"

Woman: "... You have her eyes.

    Do you know the plan?"

Jayshawn: "Do I sound like I know-

    Some secret plan?

    And who is she?

    Do you mean my Gram?"

Just then, the lock on the door was shot,

And the gun-man kicked right in.

Jayshawn disarmed the man in a second,

Twisting his wrist, breaking the limb.

He slammed him to the ground, and got on top,

With his forearm, he choked the gun-man out.

He rose and took the gun in hand.

Jayshawn: "You better tell me right now.

Who are you, girl, and what is this plan?"

    Jayshawn began to tie up,

The gun-man who'd been chasing her.

    She looked frightened and worried,

And struck with awe, But definitely sure,

That she could trust Jayshawn with her life.

He'd just saved her right here.

She took a deep breath to calm her nerves,

    And silence any lingering fear.

    Woman: "Was your grandmother,

    Lydia Grogan?

And what are you doing, there?"

Jayshawn had picked up his phone to call,

The police, and get them there.

    Jayshawn: "I'll calling the fuzz,

    What's it look like?"

Woman: "Oh please! Don't call them now!"

Jayshawn: "Girl, you must be hella-insane!

You think I'm gonna stop now?"

The woman grabbed the phone from his hand,

And slammed it on the receiver,

Then spoke fast and trembling, spilling out words,

Almost like she had a fever.

Woman: "My name is Zoe Wallace.

    Around here, anyway.

But my real name is Ziona Aisling.

And you saved me this day.

    I knew your grandmother

    From years ago.

    She was my last Protector.

    Now I'm alone. Though-

Are you her blood? Or were you adopted?

I guess it doesn't much matter.

The job of Protector is so simple."

Jayshawn: "Are you done with your chatter?

Zoe, is it? You knew my Gram?"

    Zoe: "Yes,

    She was wonderful to me.

She knew our fight to keep Otherworld,

And this world strong and free-

From the ripples of the event,

That caused the rift in time."

Jayshawn: "Whoa whoa whoa, Dimensional girl,

I think you've lost your mind.

I'm calling the cops, whether you like it or not.

You can stay, or get out.

But don't think of trying anything funny.

I ain't afraid to choke you out."

Zoe frowned. Her eyes pleaded with him.

But she got up and ran.

She sprinted past the broken door,

    Into the streets of Ballyshannon.

  • Notes of Destiny Chapter 5 - Bogs Vs. Pirates
    Jun 16 2025

    Series: Notes of Destiny

Season 1: The War for Harmadonia

    Episode 1: The Windy Wood

    Chapter 5: Bogs Vs. Pirates

    Text:

The sheds the Bogs owned were smaller Moras,

    Hollowed out at the base.

It probably wasn't a great place to hide.

But Windy just wanted to escape.

The pirates charged right after her

And cursed her all the way,

But soon hot steam poured out of the laundry shed,

And kept the pirates at bay.

Windy knew the voices that she heard singing songs,

    Singing about deep steam cleaning.

It was her oldest brothers, Cruncher and Muncher,

    Saving her with their singing.

The pirates were scalded by the streaming heat,

And they quickly abandoned their route.

Soon brothers Billy and Randy gave chase,

With pitchfork and shovel they pursued!

Windy hunkered down in the shed she'd got to,

But there were no weapons around.

Not at least until sisters Cindy, Lilly, and Mandy

    All gathered around.

Lilly handed Windy a simple knife

And they each held one of their own.

Windy: "Oh thank Songwriter! Where is Filly?"

Lilly: "She's up in the crow's nest alone."

As if to punctuate sister Filly's presence,

A shot from her crossharp struck

One of the pirates in the backside.

    Windy knew that wasn't luck.

Windy saw Papa Bog approaching now,

With his Gora Horn in his right hand.

The pirates cowered as he approached.

Papa Bog: "Get out! GET OFF MY LAND!"

The pirates fled as quick as they could,

And Windy's sisters kissed her hard.

    The family began to regroup

And none of them was scarred.

Out upon the lawn they came

Emerging from hiding at a jog.

    They all congratulated one another,

Then Windy alone said to Papa Bog.-

Windy: "There is a boy in town my age.

He was captured by pirates like this!

Most of us siblings you adopted from slave-trade.

    We simply must assist!"

Papa Bog: "We don't gotta do anything!" Papa Bog growled.

“I ain't giving those sea rats money!

Besides, that's another growing mouth to feed!

Windy, do you think this is funny?!"

Windy looked down at her feet

    And sadly dropped her knife.

Cruncher: "Hey Papa! She saved our home!

She alerted us to the fight!"

    Momma Bog, and Filly arrived,

    from their house's crow's nest.

Momma Bog put a hand on his shoulder.

Momma Bog: "Dear, it's for the best.

We always have more room in there.

We can always feed more folks."

Papa Bog: "Well not this time, Neefa!

    This is not a joke!...

Still, you were the one who raised the alarm.

And I'm awfully proud of you, young one.

What do you say we go down to the festival,

And you can pick anything your heart is set on."

    Windy smiled happily,

    For the simple compromise.

The Bogs cheered her and shouted

    Windy's praises to the skies.

    Jun 11 2025

    Series: World of Wrestling

Season 1: Beauty & The Big Dog

    Episode 1: A Rookie Rises

    Chapter 5: Promo Time

    Text:

    Jessica: “Okay, right, So Josh,

You’ve been wrestling for how long?”

Jessica skipped steps to keep up with Josh,

    As he briskly walked along.

    Joshua: “About two years now.

    They trained me at 18.”

Jessica: “Would you slow down for two seconds?

Are you still hyped up on caffeine?

We need to get to know one another.

    Develop some chemistry!

Look, this stairwell will be fine to talk in.

Please sit, and talk to me!”

    Josh looked at his cellphone,

And then showed her the time.

Jessica: “It takes two seconds to get to the promo set.

    Please, just speak your mind.”

    Jess sat and motioned

    For Joshua to sit.

Joshua: “I’ve only every really tagged,

    With one guy before.

He and I weren’t always best friends,

And so it was a chore,

    To hash anything out,

    Like plans of strategy,

I’m used to fighting my end of the fight,

And whatever will be will be.”

Jessica: “Why did you say you’d help me out?

    What’s in it for you?”

Joshua: “You’re the first of two people who’ve been kind to me,

And plus, it’s the right thing to do.”

Jessica: “Well thank you very much.

    That means a lot.

Now, are you a power type wrestler?

    Tell me what you’ve got.”

    Joshua: “I have some power,

And I can take a beating.

    I tend to be scrappy

    When I’m competing.

    I don’t just find weaknesses,

    I open then up.

I don’t know if that makes sense.”

Jessica: “No it does. You’re tough.

I can handle Keri. And Lil’ Mack.

    But if BJ tags in,

You have to have my back.

    I’ll start the match,

And do my best to last,

    We’ll tire them out,

    Then you’ll jump in fast.

    Got it?”

    Joshua: “Got it.”

    Jessica: “Good. It’s promo time.

Let me say my piece to them,

    Then just speak your mind.”

    Wolfman Dan was

    the interviewer backstage.

    He’d just finished interviewing

    Lil’ Mack and BJ Bass.

Then their opponents Jessica And Josh,

Made their way through to the set,

And they didn’t waste any time filming.

One take was all they’d get.

Wolfman Dan: “Wolfman Dan here backstage

    With Jessica Valero.

Seems you found yourself a partner.

    Who is this fine fellow?”

“Dan, I’ll get back to him in a second,

    I just want to say,

    Thanks to William Rothschild,

    For screwing up my day.

My first day back from injury

    And he wants to retaliate

Against how I beat his pathetic daughter?

    I say great! Just great!

But I’ll let my partner introduce himself.

    He’s a rookie here.

But Atlantyx and Keri? I think you’ll find,

This guy will bring out your fear.”

    All eyes and cameras trained

    On Joshua Slayter’s face.

    And every ear was listening

    Within that studio space.

    Wolfman Dan put the mic

    Up to Josh’s mouth,

And what came next proved that Joshua

    Was definitely from The South.

    “AWOOOOO! WWL!

    The Bigdog is here!

    Atlantyx and Keri Starr

    You better watch your rears!

    The Bigdog is comin’

    And he’s gonna bite!

    Be on your toes, gents,

Supergirl and I are ready to fight!

    You guys might be gangsters,

    But you act like hogs.

I may not be as big as you,

But I am one big dog.”

    Joshua howled once again,

And they cut the interview there.

    Jessica turned red in embarrassment,

    The cheesiness she couldn’t bare.

Jessica: “Can we do another take?”

    Wolfman Dan: “Sorry, Supes,

    That one was live.

    Good promo though.”

And he gave Josh a high five.

Chapter 4: The Big Dog's Bark

    Text:

    Jessica roamed the halls

    Talking to whoever she saw.

But no one was willing to cross

    Will Rothschild’s power and awe.

So as Jessica went past catering

    For the eleventh time,

The Atlantyx and Keri Starr decided

It was time to play with her mind.

    Keri approached from catering,

    Smiling as she walked.

    Keri: “How we doing Supergirl?

    How was Rothschild’s talk?”

    Before she could even answer

Mack and BJ stepped up from behind.

Mack: “Girl, you’d be insane to fight us tonight!”

    “You guys are lame.

No spilling food on me, Keri?

Or are you afraid to see,

    My title belt you’re wearing

    Getting all gross and messy?”

    Keri smiled and nodded.

    Mack and BJ attacked.

They grabbed Jess’ arms at the wrists,

And held them behind her back.

Keri got right in Jess’ face,

And smiled until her cheeks hurt.

Keri: “You will never take this title from me, you silly little squirt.”

Keri ran her hands along her gold belt,

And Mack whispered in Jess’ ear,

“Besides, you’ve got a lot more tonight,

Of which you should be in fear.”

Jessica looked and saw some red

    In her periphery.

Mack was yanked back by his nostrils,

    And Jessica pulled free.

She saw the rookie she’d met earlier,

About to stand toe to toe,

With all six-foot-six of BJ Bass.

    Then Keri Starr yelled,

    Keri: “Whoa!

Save it for the ring neanderthals!”

Joshua: “You punks be glad I got a nap!

    Jessica needs a partner tonight?

Guess what? I got her back!”

Season 1: The Legend of Stone Mountain

Episode 1: Cyclone Jones: The Long Summer

    Chapter 6: Progress Is Knocking

    Text:

Dinner time came for the happy Jones family,

They sat down to enjoy their meal,

But something cold still lingered in the air,

And all three of them could feel,

The relentless spirit now climbing their steps-

A monotonous drone in his heart,

And soon that drone would collide with their happiness,

    And trouble truly start.

    Progress moves can’t be stopped.

Trees cut down and then they’re chopped.

    Progress will never be dropped-

’Til this whole culture is swapped.

During dinner time with the Jones,

A knock came to the door and everyone froze.

Father Reed went to the door to open.

On the other side, was a man who was hopin’

To take their farm, take their land, And turn it into a strip

    mall.

He reached out to shake Reed’s hand- But he wasn’t gettin’

    no “Howdy y’all?."

In fact, he wasn’t even gettin’ a “No, sir.”

But against this man, nothing would deter,

Man: "My name is Phillip Keller."

Reed: "Don't worry Phil, I know you.

    You've been sending your vultures

    Off and on since 2002."

Phillip: "Well, you'll be happy to know,

    The offer tripled in price."

Reed: "It doesn't matter, now get off our porch."

    Phillip: "Gee, aren't you nice?

I'm telling you, you're sitting on a goldmine!

This land is a big-budget deal!"

Reed: "Didn't you hear me? I said, get gone!

    You should know the drill!"

    Reed closed the door sharply,

    And Phillip Keller smiled,

    His plans for their land

    Going longer than miles.

    He took one more glance

    At their yard and said:

Phillip: "Looks like Mr. nice guy

    Is finally dead."

    Reed Jones had said no.

There was nothing he could do.

    He slammed the door on-

    his corvette and stewed.

    But still, Phillip plotted,

    but still, Phillip planned-

To one day put an end

    to this Southern strand.

He then drove off but inside Reed was asked

By his wife Emily "Who was it that passed-

By our door during dinner?" She happily chimed.

    Reed: "Phillip Keller himself!

Guess what he wanted this time?"

Cyrus: "Is he still coming around?"

    Cyrus asked in dismay

Reed: "Him and his cronies come by every day.

At least that's how it feels most of the time."

Emily: "That's enough about that then.

    Would y'all like some wine?"

And as the Jones's enjoyed their dinner,

    And Phillip Keller drove away,

The drone in Phillip Keller's heart,

    Droned louder with wild decay.
