Wonderful presentation

Good stories, interesting history, and excellent acting. One might find this appropriate for the Halloween season, but it's good any time.

An absolute gem.

This delightful podcast was present one night in my Spotify recommendations. Thinking it might have something to do with Matt Haig's book, I decided to try the first episode. OH! MY!!! Am I glad I did!
It talks about different topics pulled from mythology and history. The hosts are phenomenal! I get lost in the storytelling of Ms. Miranda Merrick and am only brought back when Mr. Darling's gruff voice announces the end. Sounds are played in the background that resonate with the story so well-absolutely amazing! The small commercial breaks in the middle are so ingenious and phenomenal. An absolute gem.

playful fun and informative, darkly humorous.

Miranda spins tales of history and humor with wry asides, not to mention a werewolf and definitely not a demon erma.

Actual PODCAST Review (It's Magically Amazing)

This PODCAST is fun, compelling, well researched and well written. The setting is unlike any other as you are visiting a mysterious old library to be greeted by Mr. Darling & Miranda Merrick. Ms. Merrick tells you bite-sized tales on subjects like "Witch Bottles" "Windigos" & "Deals with The Devil" -There's also lots of creepy atmospheric details, music, and subtle sounds that accompany her spooky readings- and funny fake ads and strange happenings at the beginning and end of every episode.

Just another biased show

"Oh look at those poor oppressed women committing cold blooded murder to attain empowerment"
Sorry, but I can't stand liberal hypocrisy.
The amount of mental gymnastics used in making the female murderers look like heroes in the passion of poisons episode is simply unbearable and cringe worthy.
The victims were described as being despicable and cruel men while adjectives like "clever", "innovative", and the like were attached to blatant murderers. Nothing justifies killings.
The tangent used to describe women's conditions in far gone times got me thinking "wait, what is this episode about again?" it was clear the narrator was trying to verge the topic in a way she could just rant about something, so much I thought she had switched the "evil mistress" character to an average feminist one. She completely fell out of character.
I want to have fun while listening to creepy stuff, and not to have an yet another earful of how much men suck, I want even less to listen to someone so passionately defending and praising such a heinous act.
