  • No One is Going to Save You
    Jul 3 2025

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss the concept that no one is going to save you. This is a famous Mel Robbins quote. You have to save yourself. John talks about when he was 50 he fully embraced the idea that he had to figure out his life. To own creating the exceptional life rather than just, at some level, assuming it would just happen. At 50, John realized he had to make it happen by his actions. He also realize it what he was getting was exactly what he deserved. His actions were producing the average life. And what he really realized is that he had the power all long to create the exceptional life from creating immense clarity about his life. He just didn’t know it until he was 50 and read think and grow Rich.

John and Kelly then go on to say that everything that is in your life today you created. Both the good and the bad. John discusses growing up very middle-class. He had to figure out how to create the opulent successful life he wanted. During this podcast John also talks about the story of Darren Hardy. When he was in his mid-40s and was interviewing Maria Shriver for Success Magazine. He asked her what her definition of success was. It really changed Darren’s own approach. You have to be doing something that is meaningful to you and also plays your strengths. Too often people are engaging in a career that doesn’t really interest them. John goes on to talk about the idea in life that you are the problem and you’re also the solution. Once you embrace this, your life is never the same. • The Power of Letting Go
    Jun 26 2025

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss the concept of Letting Go. This is based on a book from David Hawkings. Truly life-changing book. It’s very similar to Mel Robbins' recent book called The let them theory. The essence of Mel Robbins' book is that you do you and you let other people do them. Don’t worry about the things you don’t control. In this book Mel Robbins says that the problem is the power you give other people. Two simple words – let them – will set you free. From the opinions, drama and judgment of others. Free from the exhausting cycle trying to manage everything and everyone around you. Again you do you, focus on what you control, and let other people do them. The fundamental problem is that people try to control things they don’t control. So people have to fix that.

Then John gets into a life-changing book he is reading called Letting Go. John says it’s taking him to the next level. And what letting go means is when things come up in your life that are frustrating, just let it go. Don’t hold onto the frustration. The more you give energy to a frustration, the more it negatively impacts you. John goes on to talk about how learning this methodology is so compatible with the think it be it 12 minute a day methodology. When you feed the concept of letting go to yourself each day, you rewire your autopilot. So that’s what you actually do. And you become a person that lets go.

  • Getting More Enlightened: It Doesn’t Really Happen Until You’re 50
    Jun 19 2025

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss the concept that you don’t really get more enlightened until you become 50. John says that there is something magical about turning 50. Before you turn 50, your attitude is generally what don’t I know? I pretty much know everything. But when you turned 50, you understand life at a deeper and deeper level. And you also decide to do life on your terms rather than everybody else’s terms. John talks about the things he learned in his 50s that he didn’t know when he was in his 30s and 40s. As an example. How to work smarter not harder. By understanding how the human mind works. No clue about this in his 30s or 40s. He also didn’t understand how to play into one’s own strengths and understanding in detail one’s own strengths. That became apparent in his 50s.

John also learned the power of growing intellectually every week with a system that made that personal growth strategic. He wasn’t doing that in his 30s and 40s. Also he learned how to deep think two times a week his 50s. Clueless about that in his 30s and 40s. Then when John got into his 60s he started appreciate how people are different than he was. And that it’s okay. People are the product of their genetics coupled with what has come into their consciousness to this point in their life. John also learn the power of having a powerful and emotional mission statement.

During this discussion Kelly and John also discuss the limiting factor in one’s success regarding having false beliefs. John and Kelly both believed erroneously that they controlled their daily actions. Then they got enlightened to the fact that 95% of a person’s daily actions are unconscious. And that was significant because they understood that one’s success in life comes down to their daily actions. Once they got that, everything changed. Then in the podcast, John and Kelly talk about the immense power of improving one’s self-image. By digging deep into it.
