John "Little Caesar" Acropolis lived a life marked by both hardship and triumph. Despite this, personality and ambition led him to become president of the Local 456 union in Yonkers, New York, transforming it into a powerful force with 30,000 members. Known for his dedication to workers' rights, Acropolis often clashed with authorities and rival unions, including the Genovese Mafia-controlled Local 27. These conflicts escalated, culminating in his murder in 1952. The case remains unsolved.
