Memory Lane
I love that they go though on book per podcast of Christopher Pike. You get a nice recap of the story, thoughts on the book and great banter between the hosts.

Love but needs more focus
I love that you all are going back to review these books. I did not like to read growing up, but Pike was the only author of books I read. I would stay up until 3 am reading everything of his I could. Sad part is I no longer have these beloved books. While I love the deep dive into the books, I would find it helpful to give more detail as to what happens plot wise, as trying to remember all the small details of the characters falls flat for me. It is really hard to find/buy these classics without spending a ton of money, please help by giving a more detailed description of the journey of the characters. It feels a bit jumbled just jumping from character to character through multiple points throughout the whole book, makes it confusing and hard follow what is actually happening in the story.

So much fun!
This whole podcast is such a blast! I love being able to reread these books from my past and listen to such fun people dissect them. I have enjoyed every episode!

Love it!!
I really hope they are not done with this series, I need alllllll the Christopher Pike books! They have brought back so much nostalgia and even got me back into reading again after so many years of being “too busy” for it… Hoping this review reaches the podcasters cause I NEED MORE!! Please and thank you :)

Starts out good. But ends being awful.
Found the podcast and enjoyed several episodes. The episodes discussing Remember Me 1 and 2 are funny. And the episode of Remember Me 3 and The Starlight Crystal are meh.
The episodes really start to drag by the time they discuss The Starlight Crystal and the next several books. I started getting really irritated listening to the main person behind the podcast. Suddenly things he lists as problematic go from being interesting and funny to be a long winded discussion. I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or being serious at times. Even the others in the discussion seemed confused.
I lost interest in several episodes because the discussion would drag out forever .
The discussions started to get very flat by the time I listened to the episode about The Starlight Crystal.
After this episode some of the people involved just nitpick every detail to death, you know like Riding a dead horse to death.
As an example, in The Starlight Crystal episode, a decision that the main character makes is problematic. Huh?
It seemed like a major event of the plot that had to happen to lead the main plot and subplots to a conclusion.
It sounded like it was problematic to the host of the podcast. I still didn't really understand his explanation and just gave up on the podcast with that episode either way.
The book is not the best Pike book, and has some plotting issues, but I found the criticisms and discussions just got over the top about this YA novel.
The dissection of every part of the plot just stopped being funny and became promotions for the podcasters and guests to mostly discuss their own novels.
I highly recommend the episodes I listed. The Remember Me series, The Last Vampire series, Monster, Die Softly, and Master of Murder. Gary Hendrix is the best part of the Remember Me reviews.
Skip the rest of the episodes.
