  • Shaping Futures: Guiding Your Child’s Path to Adulthood
    Nov 4 2024

In this second episode of The Parenting Blueprint series, Andy explores one of parenting’s most profound guiding principles: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is grown, he will not depart from it.” This episode invites parents to reconsider their role as guides, not just raising great kids, but preparing children to become great adults.

Andy unpacks the deeper meaning behind this timeless wisdom from King Solomon, highlighting how effective parenting involves more than enforcing rules. It’s about teaching children values and life skills that will guide them long after they’ve left home. Always entertaining and insightful!

Andy started as a stand-up comedian. That ability to capture your attention and entertain you is obvious. But Andy isn’t potato chips and chocolate bars. There is real substance in every program. The guy has learned to look at life from a different perspective. You know that friend that points out something so obvious you should have noticed it but for some reason you didn’t? That’s Andy! Business, life, family! He covers just about everything. Tune it. It’s worth every minute.

This changes everything

I have always hated having to write my goals. I am sure if I did write something down it was just to placate the person asking me to do it and more than likely it was made up. My mind has never been able to understand stand goals, but it does understand responsibilty. Thank you! Now instead of setting a goal to say lose weight I can now tell myself that I am responsible for losing weight and I can start at baby step responsibilities for say one pound a month. When I can prove I can handle that responsibility I can give myself more responsibility. Not sure that makes sense to anyone else but it does for me and as I work on the concept I am sure I will be able to share my experience with others. Thank you for a new perspective this one gives me hope.

This hit home for me.

My family, my brothers have been involved in drug or alcohol problems. I've been sober almost 3 years now. Being sober is the best high. Drunk on life is the life to live.
