• Turning Failures into Success
    Jun 1 2025

In this episode, I’m sharing one of the most personal stories of my life—the story of chasing a dream with everything I had, and still falling short. For over 20 years, I dedicated my life to music. I performed in stadiums, had songs on the radio, worked with Def Jam, wrote for Isaac Hayes’ label, got featured on Trina’s first album, and even had a shot with Sony Europe. I went from freestyle battles in Ohio to recording in studios where legends like Busta Rhymes and Lil’ Kim were just down the hall.

But even with all that momentum, I never “made it.” At least not in the way I had hoped.

I wasn’t lazy. I showed up. I sacrificed. I was first in and last out of the studio. I dropped everything for the chance to be heard. But life has a way of humbling you, especially when your dream becomes unsustainable. I found myself broke, burned out, raising kids, and still being pulled back into something that wasn’t working. Eventually, I had to walk away. And it broke me.

I even joined the Army just to escape the temptation to go back.

I talk about what that kind of loss does to your spirit, how it creates fear around trying new things, and how it made it hard for me to commit to any other career path—even though I’ve tried nearly everything. From welding and web development to SEO and insurance sales, I’ve done it all. But nothing ever filled the space that music once held.

If you’ve ever given your all to something—your art, your business, your dream—and it didn’t work out, I want you to hear this: You are not a failure. That experience still matters. You still have something inside you, even if the world didn’t give you the title, the contract, or the money.

I’m learning that the pain of failure doesn’t mean the end. Sometimes it just means it’s time to shift. To evolve. To take what you learned and use it in a new way. And that’s what this episode is about—turning failure into something that still has value.

You’re not alone. And we don’t have to stay stuck in the past.

    Let’s find a way forward—together.

  • The Rise of the Miserable Majority
    May 9 2025

In this episode of The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, I dive headfirst into something that’s been bothering me for a while: why are so many people just plain mean these days?

From women shoulder-checking me in public to pushy, self-entitled patients at my day job, I break down what it feels like to navigate a world where kindness is rare and attitudes are nasty. Whether it’s complexion bias, classist arrogance, or just plain emotional nastiness, I’m sharing real stories and real frustration.

This isn’t just a vent session — it’s a reality check. People are walking around with ugly energy, rude behavior, and inflated egos with nothing to back them up. I talk about how being mean AND needy is not a flex, how people misjudge others based on surface-level nonsense, and why a smile and a little respect still go a long way.

And if you’re one of those people who thinks you’re better than someone just because of where you live, who you date, or how much money you make… this one might sting.

  • Why the cheater is always winning
    May 9 2025

In this raw, unfiltered episode of The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, I dive into a controversial but all-too-familiar topic: cheating. Specifically, I unpack the myth of who’s really “winning” in a love triangle involving a man, his wife or girlfriend, and the woman he’s cheating with.

So many women claim victory because “he comes home to me,” while others proudly declare “I don’t have to deal with his mess.” But the truth is, nobody’s winning but him—the one doing the lying, deceiving, and disrespecting both women. I break down how manipulation keeps women fighting each other while he reaps all the benefits, often living double lives with equal intimacy, care, and deception.

This isn’t just theory—it’s lived experience. I’ve been the wife, the side, the in-the-dark, and the hurt. I’ve seen what happens behind closed doors, and I’ve felt the heartbreak that hits so hard it knocks you to your knees. This episode is part story, part truth serum, and all fire.

If you’ve ever been in a situation where someone made you feel like you had to fight for love, compete with another woman, or question your worth because of someone else’s betrayal, this one is for you.

Because this isn’t about judging women. It’s about exposing the pattern—and the man—at the center of it all.

And no, just because he “comes home to you” doesn’t mean you’re winning.

  • Why I Don’t Share My Dreams at Work (And You Shouldn’t Either)
    May 5 2025

In this episode of The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, I’m breaking down something I learned the hard way—why you should never share your hopes and dreams with the people at your 9-to-5 job. I know it might seem harmless to talk about your goals, your side projects, or the bigger vision you have for your life—but in most work environments, that kind of transparency can do more harm than good.

The reality is, when you speak openly about your dreams in places that aren’t built to support them, you open the door to judgment, envy, and even sabotage. I’ve seen it firsthand. People will smile, nod, and tell you they’re rooting for you—but behind closed doors, they’ll talk about you, doubt you, or worse, work against you. Some will even go out of their way to block your progress because they can’t handle the idea that you want more from life than they do.

This isn’t just about jealousy. It’s about mindset. When your co-workers can’t imagine more for themselves, they’ll struggle to imagine more for you. They can’t connect the dots between where you are and where you’re headed. And because they can’t see it for themselves, they’ll assume it’s impossible for you too.

In this episode, I share real experiences, raw truths, and the unfiltered perspective that you’ve come to expect from me. I talk about how your dreams can trigger people, how confidence is often mistaken for arrogance, and how some folks just want everyone around them to stay stuck so they feel better about not moving.

You’ll hear why it’s smarter to move in silence, protect your vision, and save your energy for the spaces and people that get it. Because trust me—if you’re dreaming big while working a job surrounded by small minds, you’re putting a target on your back.

So grab your drink, get comfortable, and listen in while I get personal about ambition, energy, and why the break room is the last place you should be talking about your future.

  • Why Society Punishes Non-Traditional People: Part 1
    Mar 6 2025

In this episode of The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, I dive into a powerful topic: Why Society Punishes Non-Traditional People. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t fit into the traditional mold—whether it’s rejecting religious expectations, questioning societal norms, or living life on your own terms—then this episode is for you.

I talk about what it means to be a free thinker, the pressure of conformity, and how certain traditions shape our lives—whether I embrace them or reject them. I share personal experiences, from growing up biracial in the ’70s and ’80s to navigating the expectations placed on women over 50.

I also explore how society penalizes those who don’t follow conventional paths. From marriage-based tax benefits to social exclusion, the system is designed to reward traditional lifestyles while making it harder for independent thinkers to thrive.

This is Part One of the discussion, and there’s much more to cover. Tune in to hear my candid thoughts on non-traditional living and why it often comes with unspoken consequences.

If you’ve ever felt like an outsider, this conversation is for you.

Listen now and stay tuned for Part Two!

  • People Celebrating People Losing Their Jobs
    Feb 23 2025

Today on The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, I’m calling out something that’s been bothering me—people celebrating when others lose their jobs. I’ve seen it all over social media, in the comments, on the news, and it’s honestly sickening. How did we get to a place where we treat someone’s livelihood like it’s just another headline to laugh about?

I talk about what this kind of mindset says about us as a society and why none of us are immune to struggle. I also share personal experiences that shaped my perspective—like the time I was stranded in a ditch and the last person you’d expect helped me out, or how a man that most would write off because of his politics became one of my greatest mentors.

At the end of the day, we all want the same things—stability, peace, the ability to take care of our families. But somewhere along the way, we lost our ability to see each other as human. If we keep moving in this direction, it’s only going to get worse for everyone.

Let’s talk about it. And stay tuned for the next episode: Atheist and Christian Cruelty.

  • Cheating Who’s Really to Blame: part 2
    Feb 16 2025

Hello everyone! This is The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast, and today we’re diving into Part Two of Cheating: Who Is Really to Blame?

Many women believe that when a man cheats, it’s just about sex—that the other woman is meaningless. But that’s a lie. Affairs are rarely just physical; they involve time, emotions, and connections.

People love joking that side chicks only get February 15th or never get holidays, but I know firsthand that many other women get birthdays, vacations, and even family introductions. I once dated a man who flew me to meet his mother—not knowing he was engaged. Another had me staying in his house while his wife was away.

    The Lies We Tell Ourselves

Wives tell themselves they’re winning because they have the ring, the house, and the status. Meanwhile, the other woman convinces herself she’s the one he truly loves. But the truth is, everyone involved is hurting.

Men don’t just call women for sex and leave. They spend time. They bond. They fall in love. And they chase these women—they are not being hunted down or seduced against their will.

Women often think men never leave their wives, but that’s false. People leave relationships all the time. Many already have their next person lined up before they walk away.

    What You Need to Know

Not all men cheat, but many do. And if you think the other woman is just getting sex, you’re lying to yourself. Affairs are built on time spent, just like your relationship once was.

Ladies—stop rushing into relationships. Take your time. Get to know who a man really is before committing. And don’t sleep with someone before you fully understand what you want and what he wants.

Thank you for tuning in. Until next time, this is The Purple Kool-Aid Podcast.
