Formed in the summer of 2021, Checkout Queens is a punk rock band hailing from Saskatoon, SK. The band members, self-described theatre nerds, came together during a local production of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” Their music is a compelling mix of humor, punchy rhythms, and relatable lyrics that resonate with audiences. In 2023, they released their debut self-titled EP, which was engineered and produced by Matt Stinn at Rainy Day Recording Co. Checkout Queens quickly made a name for themselves in the Saskatoon music scene, earning the 2023 NSMZ Rising Star Award.

Berk Jodoin is a talented Canadian folk and country singer-songwriter hailing from Leader, Saskatchewan. Known for his compelling storytelling and heartfelt lyrics, Berk has made a significant impact in the music scene. He was nominated for Indigenous Songwriter of the Year at the 18th Canadian Folk Music Awards and won the Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards.
