Hey everybody, welcome to Episode 10 of The Soul Motorcycling Podcast. In this episode, I get to sit down with my good friend Chris Ludovina From Secret Kindom Tattoo.

If you have ever had the luck to hang out and talk with Chris, it didn't take you long to realize that he is one of the raddest and most authentic people you will ever meet.

He gives us a walkaround of his 74 shovelhead chopper. I am telling you , this thing is truly the definition of cool.

We also talk about how rad his six-four Impala is. And yes, it's sitting on juice.

We discuss Chris's 18-year tattooing career and his journey from a teenage punk rocker who felt at home in a tattoo shop to a dedicated professional tattoo artist.

  • EPISODE SIX: THE BALLAD OF BEARTRAP
    Mar 25 2024

Welcome to the Soul Motorcycling Podcast, episode six, the Ballad of Bear Trap. In this episode, I talk with my good friend, Drew Underdown, who some of you may know as Bear Trap. When I met Drew, Harley stunt riding was just starting to become a thing. Although I'd seen it done before, Drew was the first dude that I personally knew who could wheelie a Harley. As anyone who rides a bike knows, wheelies are awesome, and I had questions.

Drew took the time to answer them because he's cool like that. Over time, I got to know him and his motorcycle story, and I truly believe that his story is one of the truest definitions of the soul of motorcycling. He shares his riding roots, pathway into Harley stunt riding, and the required time, effort, and dedication needed to succeed. His punk rock attitude towards overcoming adversity is truly inspiring.

He also dropped some knowledge about simple, affordable, and effective performance mods to help riders interested in wheeling their Harley. We also talked about how much influence and support his family gave him, especially his mom. When it was time, Drew trusted me to teach his mom how to ride and to get her motorcycle licensed. I witnessed firsthand what an extraordinary lady she was.

And I truly feel I'm a better person because I got to share riding motorcycles with her.

This episode is dedicated to you, Terri Underdown, the true definition of a moto mom, and I want to say thank you for always being our guardian angel. I hope you enjoy the episode, and thank you for listening.

  • EPISODE FIVE: MOTORCYCLE GRAVITY & "THE SPOOK"
    Mar 13 2024

Thanks for stopping by and Checking out Episode 5 of the Soul Motorcycling podcast.

In this episode, Jason and I chat about what we call "Motorcycle Gravity." Let me explain what I mean by that.

Motorcycle gravity is the force that draws us to motorcycles.

We talk about when we first knew it had gotten ahold of us and how it has shaped our lives and made us the people we are today . One of my favorite parts of the episode is when we discuss a sensation every rider receives, but we don't always talk about it: "The Spook."

What the spook is that feeling you get on the other side of a sketchy situation.

You know, like when you say to yourself, "holy shit, how did I not just crash, or like I can't believe I didn't just die."

    Every rider has had it.

Whether you are a new rider, riding out of a whiskey throttle, coming into a corner too hot, somebody pulling out in front of you, or that feeling you sometimes get for no reason telling you that today might be the day to be on your bike.

You know what I am talking about.

We also discuss the different kinds of spooks you can get. Can the spook be a learning tool? Can it be bad enough for you to quit riding altogether, and is it something you can overcome?

We hope you enjoy this episode and find something you can connect with.

    Thanks for listening!
