• 23 Apr 25 – Will Liberal Catholicism Die Along with Pope Francis?
    Apr 23 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Luke 24:13-35 - That very day, the first day of the week, two of Jesus’ disciples were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred. And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus Himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him. He asked them, “What are you discussing as you walk along?” They stopped, looking downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, said to Him in reply, “Are You the only Visitor to Jerusalem Who does not know of the things that have taken place there in these days?” And He replied to them, “What sort of things?” They said to Him, “The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene, Who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, how our chief priests and rulers both handed Him over to a sentence of death and crucified Him. But we were hoping that He would be the One to redeem Israel; and besides all this, it is now the third day since this took place. Some women from our group, however, have astounded us: they were at the tomb early in the morning and did not find His Body; they came back and reported that they had indeed seen a vision of angels who announced that He was alive. Then some of those with us went to the tomb and found things just as the women had described, but Him they did not see.” And He said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into His glory?” Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted to them what referred to Him in all the Scriptures. As they approached the village to which they were going, He gave the impression that He was going on farther. But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them. And it happened that, while He was with them at table, He took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, but He vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?” So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem where they found gathered together the Eleven and those with them who were saying, “The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!” Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how He was made known to them in the breaking of the bread. • 22 Apr 25 – At His Particular Judgment, Was the Pope Asked…?
    Apr 22 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 20:11-18 - Mary Magdalene stayed outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet where the Body of Jesus had been. And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken my Lord, and I don’t know where they laid Him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there, but did not know it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the gardener and said to Him, “Sir, if You carried Him away, tell me where you laid Him, and I will take Him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher. Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.’” Mary went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and then reported what He had told her. Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Father Charles Murr joins Terry Gospel - Matthew 28:8-15 - Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce the news to His disciples. And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced His Feet, and did Him homage. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.” While they were going, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had happened. The chief priests assembled with the elders and took counsel; then they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him while we were asleep.’ And if this gets to the ears of the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” The soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has circulated among the Jews to the present day. Bishop Sheen quote of the day

  • 17 Apr 25 – Time for Trump to Show the World that Christ Is King
    Apr 17 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 13:1-15 - Before the feast of Passover, Jesus knew that His hour had come to pass from this world to the Father. He loved his own in the world and He loved them to the end. The devil had already induced Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot, to hand Him over. So, during supper, fully aware that the Father had put everything into His power and that He had come from God and was returning to God, He rose from supper and took off His outer garments. He took a towel and tied it around His Waist. Then He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and dry them with the towel around His Waist. He came to Simon Peter, who said to Him, “Master, are You going to wash my feet?” Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing, you do not understand now, but you will understand later.” Peter said to Him, “You will never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him,“Unless I wash you, you will have no inheritance with Me.” Simon Peter said to Him, “Master, then not only my feet, but my hands and head as well.” Jesus said to him, “Whoever has bathed has no need except to have his feet washed, for he is clean all over; so you are clean, but not all.” For He knew who would betray Him; for this reason, He said, “Not all of you are clean.” So when He had washed their feet and put His garments back on and reclined at table again, He said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you? You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am. If I, therefore, the Master and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2) Now is the perfect time for Trump to show the world that Christ is King https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/now-is-the-perfect-time-for-trump-to-remind-america-that-christ-is-king/ 3) Top 10 questions and answers about Holy Week https://www.catholic.com/tract/top-10-questions-and-answers-about-holy-week 4) Holy (Maundy) Thursday https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07435a.htm

  • 16 Apr 25 – There Can Be No Altering of the Faith or Scripture
    Apr 16 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Matthew 26:14-25 - One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, "What are you willing to give me if I hand Him over to you?" They paid him thirty pieces of silver, and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand Him over. On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples approached Jesus and said, "Where do you want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?" He said, "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The Teacher says, "My appointed time draws near; in your house I shall celebrate the Passover with My disciples.""' The disciples then did as Jesus had ordered, and prepared the Passover. When it was evening, He reclined at table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, He said, "Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray Me." Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to Him one after another, "Surely it is not I, Lord?" He said in reply, "He who has dipped his hand into the dish with Me is the one who will betray Me. The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born." Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" He answered, "You have said so." • 15 Apr 25 – Jesus’ Death from a Medical Perspective
    Apr 15 2025
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 13:21-33, 36-38 - Reclining at table with his disciples, Jesus was deeply troubled and testified, "Amen, amen, I say to you, one of you will betray Me." The disciples looked at one another, at a loss as to whom He meant. One of His disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at Jesus' side. So Simon Peter nodded to him to find out whom He meant. He leaned back against Jesus' chest and said to Him, "Master, who is it?" Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I hand the morsel after I have dipped it." So He dipped the morsel and took it and handed it to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot. After Judas took the morsel, Satan entered him. So Jesus said to him, "What you are going to do, do quickly." Now none of those reclining at table realized why He said this to him. Some thought that since Judas kept the money bag, Jesus had told him, "Buy what we need for the feast," or to give something to the poor. So Judas took the morsel and left at once. And it was night. When he had left, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and He will glorify Him at once. My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I told the Jews, 'Where I go you cannot come,' so now I say it to you." Simon Peter said to Him, "Master, where are You going?" Jesus answered him, "Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now, though you will follow later." Peter said to Him, "Master, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for you." Jesus answered, "Will you lay down your life for Me? Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow before you deny Me three times." • 14 Apr 25 – Bishop Strickland on Spiritual Warfare
    Apr 14 2025
Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel - Jn 5:31-47 - Jesus said to the Jews: "If I testify on My own behalf, My testimony is not true. But there is another who testifies on My behalf, and I know that the testimony he gives on My behalf is true. You sent emissaries to John, and he testified to the truth. I do not accept human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved. He was a burning and shining lamp, and for a while you were content to rejoice in his light. But I have testimony greater than John's. The works that the Father gave Me to accomplish, these works that I perform testify on My behalf that the Father has sent Me. Moreover, the Father Who sent Me has testified on My behalf. But you have never heard His Voice nor seen His Form, and you do not have His word remaining in you, because you do not believe in the One Whom He has sent. You search the Scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on My behalf. But you do not want to come to Me to have life. "I do not accept human praise; moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you. I came in the Name of My Father, but you do not accept Me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God? Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father: the one who will accuse you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope. For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed Me, because he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"
