  • Mark goes Behind the Scenes at Climate Week with “Showpower” CEO, Paul Schurink
    Nov 5 2024

Before you listen to this episode, “the Tie-In” team would like to tie you in to a few items.

    • We highly recommend you head on over to our YouTube channel for this episode. In the YT version, you’ll get to see Paul show off his company’s innovative tech. You’ll need all your senses activated for this one. Please like and subscribe: https://youtube.com/@the-tie-in?si=MrTTuQct_Y9AKFDu
    • Speaking of senses, this was filmed on-site at “Climate Week” in New York, so lots of sound testing was occurring while Mark filmed. Please be patient with the audio, as we did the best we could with an impromptu recording.

With those items out of the way, we are very pleased to bring you Mark’s in-person, hands-on experience with Paul Schurink. He and his team have helped one of the world’s most famous bands, “Coldplay,” put on many successful sustainable performances. They want to change the market, and we believe they will! There’s tons to learn from what “Showpower” (@showpower.energy) is doing, and we definitely plan on chatting more with them in the near future. For now, we recommend visiting their website once you’ve finished checking out the episode: https://www.showpower.com/our-story/

  • Grooving with “Green Disco” CEO, Jonah Geschwind
    Oct 29 2024

This week on “The Tie-In,” Zena and Mark feel the groove of “Green Disco,” a company championing sustainability in the music industry! Their CEO, Jonah Geschwind, is inspiring green-thinkers and beyond to embrace the culture and positivity of live entertainment once again by quantifying, reducing, and articulating environmental impact. We need his great ideas, intellect, and energy to get us all thinking about better paths we might take towards greener pastures. This bold individual practices what he preaches, and his team’s data-driven and fan-first approach to business is awe-inspiring!

While this conversation gets those creative juices flowing, check out Jonah on LinkedIn! https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonah-geschwind-57083a13b?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=ios_app - I’m sure he’d love to tell you all about his upcoming projects. • Enabling Sustainable Stories with Designer and Entrepreneur, Simran Monga
    Sep 24 2024

This week on “The Tie-In,” Zena and Mark sit down with Simran Monga (@thehiecolady) a designer and advocate for sustainability stories told in Television and Movies. She believes the most important space for sustainable change in productions across the world is within film schools. We want the industry to support a future for the bright minds developing their crafts. We can remove stigma by setting a new standard. This effort is something our hosts first developed a passion for when they were in school, and it was thrilling to connect with Simran over shared visions. We see her using a vast knowledge of Bollywood cinema to influence Hollywood, and we look forward to seeing that change reflect both on and off screen. We couldn’t be more excited to cheer her on, and we appreciate all of you who are broadening the world stage for her awesome work!
