  • A Taste of Banja Luka
    May 17 2023

Today we take our first look at exploring the country and we’re starting with our local city of Banja Luka.

Now before we go any further, we won’t be drenching you with facts and figures in this series of podcasts, as we are both very sure that you’ll be doing your own online research before you get here, rather giving you anecdotes and little known legends and stories that will add some icing to the cake.

We are very passionate about “Slow Touring” so like to do things in a super relaxed way.

We have just hosted Dai and Denise, a couple from the UK for some 6 nights. Denise cant walk too far at the moment so something for us to consider.

  • Craft Beer in Bosnia and Herzegovina
    Jun 22 2023

David likes to seek out success stories from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    Why?

Because this beautiful country and it's everyday citizens deserve it.

After all, just use your favourite browser and search Bosnia (or any combination thereof) and you'll see what I mean.

So in this episode David catches up with Nikola Galić from Banja Luka, who has turned his hobby of home brewing into what he hopes will become a commercial success.

Nikola tells David about why he started, how he chose the name "Highlander" and what he does to overcome the pervading negativity in the country.

As a result of an Instagram post "teasing" this podcast, Nikola has already had an enquiry about his product from the UK.

    How cool is that?
