This is my first episode of a brand new podcast devoted to explorations of my voice. As a former English teacher who stepped away from the profession this past May after 15 years in the classroom, I am launching a new solo-preneurship venture as a nightly dreamworker. Yep, I'm interested in talking to people about their nocturnal dreams. I hope this new podcast will attract like-minded spiritual seekers who are also exploring their voices in this time of intense culture shift and chaos as the old systems, institutions, and oppressive ways of being give way to the new and hopeful more vital ways of a future world where creative, revolutionary voices lead the way.
I created this intro without a script, feeling intuitively into what I wanted to say, and relying on my prior experiences as both a volunteer radio deejay for a local Tucson radio station and a teacher who constantly had to think on my feet and inspire and entertain my easily bored and distracted students during discussions of writing and literature.
I discuss what it was like to brave through the years of teaching during the pandemic, as well as why I walked away from teaching fulltime, as well as why it's so important for me to share my voice. I invite listeners to pitch me their ideas for show topics or volunteer to appear on the show as a guest. I'm looking forward to publishing a podcast at least once a week, and maybe more often if I get inspired!
