  • EP 14: UNPLUGGED with Katherine MacKenzie-Smith - Creating a Cozy Business and Redefining Success
    Sep 18 2024
If you’re done with hustle-culture and specifically hustle-fuelled business narratives that tell you life and biz should be done a certain way, then today’s episode with Katherine MacKenzie-Smith is going to support you to rewrite those narratives and introduce to a beautiful concept called, Cozy Business. I want to preface our conversation by saying that I’ve been part of Katherine’s beautiful community for a couple of years now and I can hand on heart say it is one of my favourite places to hang out on the internet and she has supported me with so many facets of my business. As with all biz-related conversations on the podcast, there’s always something in here for you even if you’re not in biz, and Katherine shares so many golden nuggets that can be applied to life too. Katherine is an award-winning business coach and strategist for service-based solopreneurs, an Energy + Soul Practitioner, and host of the Cozy Business With Katherine podcast. Through her 1:1 mentoring, group programs, and business memberships, Katherine supports gentle leaders and soloprenuers to create successful, sustainable cozy businesses through their own innate energy and strengths, without the empire-building pressure. As an introvert, Projector in Human Design, and neurodivergent soul, Katherine has learnt first hand the importance of building a business that focuses on your needs and strengths first and finding the strategies and systems to best serve you. Katherine recently won International Coach of the Year 2023, is nominated for the 2024 International Coach, Business Coach, and Asia Pacific Coach of the Decade (which she won) and has been named a ‘self help guru’ by Elle Magazine, as well as being featured in a number of publications, podcasts, and websites including Cleo Magazine, Collective Hub, Inspired Coach, and The Introvert Entrepreneur. === In this episode Katherine shares about: - The concept of Cozy Business; - Unplugging from conditioning; - The impact social media has on our definition of success; - Practical steps for creating a cozy business; And as always….so much more! After my conversation with Katherine I walked away feeling as if anything is possible, because when we honour our definition of success, acknowledge our values and anchor into the vision we have for ourselves in life and biz…what’s possible is within reach and accessible to us. Katherine creates the most value-packed free goodies, and as I’ve mentioned has a beautiful, supportive online community over at the Cozy Business Common Room, so be sure to check out all the places you can connect with her via the links below: https://instagram.com/miss_kms https://facebook.com/katherinemackenziesmithcoaching https://youtube.com/katherinemackenziesmith https://katherinemackenziesmith.com/compass (for the freebie) https://katherinemackenziesmith.com/podcasthttps://katherinemackenziesmith.com/common-room (for The Cozy Business Common Room) I would love to get this conversation in front of as many people as possible because I truly, truly believe it could be a gamechanger for someone you know. With that said It would be a massive help If you shared this episode with ONE person. Just one, perhaps someone who might benefit from this concept of cozy business or needs a permission slip to redefine success for themselves. While you’re at it I’d be so grateful if you could tap the follow or subscribe button, and leave a 5* rating or review in whichever platform you're tuning-in on - that way you’ll be in the know when new episodes are released. AND, if you want to be kept in the loop with what’s what in my world between episodes come on over and join The JOLO Journal, my weekly letter that lands in your inbox each week (and not in a spammy way, that’s not my vibe). • EP 12: UNPLUGGED with Jaci Rogash - Trauma, Healing and Embracing Your Inner Warrior
    Aug 19 2024
In this episode I’m in an unplugged conversation with Trauma-Informed Transformation and Energy Coach, Breathwork Facilitator and International Speaker, Jaci Rogash. This is one of those conversations that will stick with me for years to come. Quite often it’s not until after these conversations have been had and integration has taken place that the medicine is felt, but gosh throughout this episode I could really feel that free flowing medicine. My conversation with Jaci healed parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing. As a DIY Podcast host - as in I do everything myself - I go back and relisten to the recorded conversation anywhere between 2-3 times so I can get a good feel for the episode before I record the intro and outro. Each time I listened back to my conversation with Jaci, I could physically feel parts of myself softening, being acknowledged, and a sense of alignment taking place. These are parts I didn’t know even needed healing, but alas they did and alas they were. I have a feeling, like me, this could me a healing episode for many who tune-in. === Jaci works with women who have experienced trauma or adversity that still impacts the way they live their life today and loves supporting people to go from feeling heavy and exhausted to fully alive. Jaci is an expert in the trauma field, having worked within the trauma space for 13 years along with her own personal, lived experience. She lives in Melbourne and is a Mum of 2 boys, and fur-mum to a dog and cat. Jaci loves adventure, sports, getting outdoors and creating space for her own self care rituals, which now feels like such a treat. === In this unplugged conversation Jaci lovingly and generously shares her story around growing up and her trauma experiences, and what ultimately lead to her do the powerful work she does today. We also talk about: the cycle of healing; and the liberation that comes with that; The impact of social media on trauma awareness; The current stage of our lives as Mothers with young children; Embracing your Inner Warrior; Intentional and present self-care practices; And much more, so much more. Here’s how you can connect with Jaci: Website: www.jacirogash.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jaci.rogash/ Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thewarriorwithincommunity Podcast: https://www.jacirogash.com/thewarriorwithin I hope today’s episode with Jaci gives you permission to embrace your Inner Warrior, get curious about the cycle of healing, and above all else allows you to see the power and medicine in having conversations like this to share your story - because it matters and you matter. Do you know what would be a massive help? If you shared this episode with ONE person, either by sending it through to someone who might benefit from it or by sparking a conversation around what you learned from our conversation today. I’m all about the ripple-effect, so let’s keep that ripple rippling.
