Makana grew up thinking there had to be more to life than the mundane routines. He's curiosity was peaked after watching a video online, and his search for more began. After an encounter with God at summer camp, Makana soon realized the purpose and fulfillment he desired could only be fulfilled through a relationship with his Heavenly Father.

Growing up Amish, Dennis worried if he would make the cut and be good enough to enter heaven. After seeing his older brother radically transformation from a wild partier to a follower of Christ, Dennis was inspired to leave the Amish and go to church for the first time, which ignited his faith in Christ and renewed his mind.
