(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Horrific Muslim persecution of Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa The Gatestone Institute’s International Policy Center has released its report on the persecution of Christians in Africa. The report claims that the West is ignoring the carnage playing out in Sub-Sahara Africa, and that Muslim “Jihadists are murdering, raping, torturing, kidnapping, enslaving, and, in some instances, burning people alive — across Africa, and now in Syria.” The newly-installed Syrian government and the al-Qaeda-affiliated HTS terrorists, are still conducting door-to-door purges, massacring religious minorities in cruel, sadistic ways. Reliable reports indicate they have massacred 7,000 Christians and Alawites, a sect of Islam. And the death toll is still rising. Jihad is spreading in at least twelve African nations. Muslim jihadists beheaded 70 Christians in the Congo in February. Church leaders are targeted, abducted, tortured, and murdered. Christian villages have been burned down. Plus, pastors, priests and lay Christians have been abducted by the Islamist Allied Democratic Forces. More than 16.2 million Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa have been driven from their homes by jihadist violence and conflict. Women and girls are abducted, forced into "marriage," forced to convert to Islam, raped, and subjected to forced labor. Some are forced to act as suicide bombers or human shields at the hands of jihadis. Boko Haram and the Islamic State West African Province regularly attack, abduct, and murder Christians in Cameroon located in Central Africa. Churches have been set on fire and church leaders and seminary students kidnapped. Plus, the report claims that no Christian is safe in Burkina Faso, a country in West Africa. Hundreds of churches there have been closed. The Muslim-run nation of Libya, in North Africa on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, countenances widespread slavery, forced labor, and human trafficking. Sharia law is strictly upheld. For a Muslim to convert to Christianity is a crime punishable by death. Any Libyan woman suspected of associating with Christians faces house arrest, sexual assault, forced marriage, or even death. Nigeria remains the worst example of Jihadist murder and mayhem. Tens of thousands of Christians have been murdered and thousands of women and girls have been abducted and subjected to sexual violence. But, do keep in mind what Jesus said in Matthew 16:18. He declared, “On this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” British Christian nurse in trouble for referring to confused man as man More outrageousness from the United Kingdom. A nurse has lost her job with the National Health Service because she was caught referring to a pedophile transgender person as a “Mister.” Nurse Jennifer Melle, age 40, was fired from her job in Carshalton, Surrey, after having to endure the patient hurling racial slurs at her. She added, “I am devastated to have been suspended. … Despite being the one placed at risk, I am the one being punished. The message I have received is clear: I am expected to tolerate racism, deny biological reality, and suppress my deeply-held Christian beliefs." Appearing on Free Speech Nation, she shared her Biblical convictions. MELLE: “I thank Jesus for giving me the courageous spirit, standing on the Word of God. According to the Word of God, Genesis 1:27 said, ‘God created a male and female.’ I just stood by it. I said, ‘Well, I'm a Christian woman, and I love the Lord, and I know beyond male and female is an abomination to the Lord. And I can't do that.’” Represented by the Christian Legal Centre, Andrea Williams, its chief executive, criticized the National Health Service for allegedly focusing on trans ideology instead of protecting its staff from racial and physical abuse. U.S.-China tariff war heats up The tit-for-tat tariff war with China is heating up. On Friday, China announced a 34% tariff on U.S. imports as an answer to President Trump’s 34% reciprocal tariff. Yesterday, the U.S. president announced an additional tariff of 50% effective tomorrow, unless China backs down, reports CBS News. Aboard Air Force One on Sunday night, President Trump did not pull any punches. TRUMP: “When you look at the trade deficit that we have with certain countries, way over a billion [dollars] per country. With China, it's a trillion dollars. And we have to solve our trade deficit with China. We have a trillion dollar trade deficit with China. Hundreds of billions of dollars a year we lose with China. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus China moves to formally ban missionary activity New regulations released this week by the Chinese Communist Party impose severe restrictions on missionary activity in the country, reports International Christian Concern. The regulations, which take effect May 1, prohibit foreigners from preaching, sharing their faith, or establishing religious organizations without official government approval. Justifying these regulations, Chinese state media claimed that the newly revised rules promote national security—a common justification for CCP persecution of religion—and help to protect “normal religious activities,” referring to activities run under strict government oversight as part of state-run religious institutions. The Chinese Communist Party has long viewed independent religious activity with suspicion, arguing that religious loyalty is at odds with the ultimate loyalty demanded by the Communist Party. The government labels independent religious activity as cultish and extremist, regardless of its theological roots, and demands that all Christian religious activity take place within the confines of state-run churches. In Matthew 10:22, Jesus said, “You will be hated by everyone because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Senate confirmed pro-life Asst. Attorney General Last Thursday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Harmeet Dhillon, a prominent pro-life attorney, as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, reports LifeNews. The vote marks a significant shift in the agency’s approach to civil rights enforcement under the Trump administration. The vote, which followed party lines with Republicans approving and Democrats voting no, ended with a 52-45 tally, with three senators absent. Dhillon, nominated by President Donald Trump in December 2024, pledged during her Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing in February to end what she described as the targeting of pro-life Christians by the Department of Justice. Her appointment replaces Kristen Clarke, a pro-abortion Biden-era official criticized by conservative groups for aggressively prosecuting pro-life activists under the so-called Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. Democratic Rep. calls wheelchair-bound Abbott: “Governor Hot Wheels” At a Human Rights Campaign Fund event, a group that advocates for sexual perversion, Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett of Texas mocked her own Republican Governor Greg Abbott for his disability, reports KBTX TV. Listen. CROCKETT: “Y'all know we got ‘Governor Hot Wheels’ down there. Come on now. And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot mess.” On July 14, 1984, at age 26, Abbott was paralyzed below the waist when an oak tree fell on him while he was jogging after a storm. Since the accident, Abbott has used a wheelchair. Governor Abbott reacted. ABBOTT: “It’s another day and another disaster by the Democrats. The reality is they have no vision, no policy. They have nothing to sell but hate.” Pro-Life activist assaulted during street interview And finally, a pro-life activist was violently attacked last Thursday while conducting street interviews in New York City, reports LifeNews.com. Savannah Craven, a YouTuber with the pro-life group Live Action, was punched in the face by Brianna Rivers, an enraged pro-abortion passerby, during an interview near a Planned Parenthood abortion mill in Manhattan, reports the New York Post. According to posts on X, Craven was asking pedestrians, “Do you know what Planned Parenthood does?” when she was brutally attacked. The assailant, described by witnesses as a pro-abortion advocate, reportedly grew agitated during a brief exchange with Craven before delivering the blow. Things took a turn when Savannah asked whether foster kids should be killed because “they’re not wanted.” Rivers responded, “Why not? Who’s going to take care of them? I need to know the percentage of people who take children from foster care and abuse them and molest them, who make them personal slaves. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Chinese Communists sentence pastor to 5-year prison sentence The Chinese Communists have sentenced Pastor Wan Changchun of Living Stone Reformed House Church to a five-year prison sentence, reports International Christian Concern. The church is located in the city of Bengbu in the Anhui Province in Eastern China, As reported by Bitter Winter Magazine, Pastor Changchun was arrested in April 2023 for alleged fraud connected to the operation of his house church. However, Chinese communist officials often falsely use fraud allegations and charges to accuse, harass, arrest, and ultimately imprison Christians, especially pastors, to attempt to shut down their unregistered house churches. The pastor was one of the house church leaders who signed the statement against the repressive 2017 Regulation on Religious Affairs. The Chinese government has long considered religion an existential threat to the state’s authority. Despite the unjust punishment, Pastor Changchun has echoed the words of Peter who said in Acts 5:29, “We must obey God rather than men.” Democrat Sen. Cory Booker’s record-breaking speech championed the Left Democratic Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey officially broke the record previously held by the late Republican Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina by delivering the longest continuous floor speech in Senate history, reports The Epoch Times. He began his speech at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31st. Here are some highlights. BOOKER: “I rise with the intention of disrupting the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able.” The Senator talked about how liberals, who have believed the lies of the mainstream media, are quaking in their boots about Trump’s re-election. BOOKER: “They're writing me letters with words like ‘fear’ and ‘terror.’ They're talking about staying up at night and not being able to sleep because they don't have a president that comforts them.” Senator Booker took a page from Republican candidate Ronald Reagan, who asked the American people this question in 1979 in his race against Democratic President Jimmy Carter. REAGAN: “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” After only two months into Trump’s second term, following four years of Joe Biden, Booker asked this ridiculous question. BOOKER: “I ask you, ‘Are you better off than you were 72 days ago economically?’ Prices are up. Stock markets down. The risk of recession is climbing. Consumer confidence is in the gutter.” Like most of the Leftists in the Democratic Party today, Booker played the class warfare card. BOOKER: “We have more billionaires than any other country. Does that speak to the greatness of our nation? No. I think the things that speak to the greatness of a nation is how do we take care of each other?” And, by taking care of each other, he was not referring to the Christian concept of helping one another out of one’s own resources, but the idea of redistributing wealth of other people with tax money. BOOKER: “I've had farmers from New Jersey to Texas coming to my office about this president freezing contracts that we approved in a bipartisan manner, putting them in financial crisis. It’s not right or left. It's right or wrong. It's not a partisan moment. It's an American moment. It's a moral moment.” Rejecting the premise that Americans can better determine how to spend their own heard-earned money, Booker advocated for at least maintaining the high rate of taxation. BOOKER: “You don't need more tax cuts. And we, as a society, have an obligation to each other.” As of 7:19 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 1, Booker had spoken for 24 hours and 19 minutes, a minute longer than Strom Thurmond’s 1957 filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1957. Most filibusters on the Senate floor are motivated by opposition to a proposed bill. In this case, he used his time to object to the entirety of the Trump agenda. Booker finally yielded the floor at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1st, with his time on the floor clocking in at a total of 25 hours and 5 minutes. Not only had he stood the whole time, but he never took a restroom break by fasting ahead of time and by dehydrating himself. Throughout his Senate filibuster, he took some occasional sips of water. Dow Jones drops 1,100 points a day after Trump tariff announcement The three major U.S. stock indexes dropped on the morning of April 3 after President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs of 10 percent or higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunging by 1,100 points by noon yesterday, reports The Epoch Times. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 46 physical attacks on Christians in Israel last year Attacks on Christians in Israel increased last year according to a report from the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue. Christians in Israel suffered 111 attacks in 2024, including 46 physical attacks. The report noted, “The most common form of physical harassment is spitting—a long-standing issue that has escalated from subtle incidents to openly aggressive acts. Clergy are now regularly harassed in public spaces.” Perpetrators are generally Jewish young men from ultra-Orthodox circles. Chinese saber-rattling against Taiwan prompting Christians to pray The Chinese military carried out large-scale drills around Taiwan on Tuesday. China claims self-ruled Taiwan as a breakaway province and has not ruled out force to bring it under Beijing’s control. Such saber-rattling has left many in Taiwan uneasy. But Christians across the island nation are uniting in prayer for revival, unity, repentance, and protection. People are praying every day for 24 hours a day. The number of prayer groups has reached 40,000 with about five members per group. Brian Liu, Pastor at Shekinah House of Bread of Life, spoke to CBN News, LIU: “The united prayers and fasting prayers of the churches in Taiwan are much more than ever before. It's an unprecedented prayer movement.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Republicans win two Florida congressional seats In the United States, Republicans won special elections on Tuesday for two Florida congressional districts. Former state Sen. Randy Fine won the open U.S. House seat in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, replacing Mike Waltz who is now President Donald Trump’s national security adviser. And Republican Jimmy Patronis won the state’s 1st Congressional District which was previously held by former Rep. Matt Gaetz. The victories maintain the GOP’s slim majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. Democrats won Wisconsin Supreme Court seat However, Democrats won a Supreme Court race in Wisconsin on Tuesday. Democrat-backed judge Susan Crawford defeated Trump-backed judge Brad Schimel 55% to 45%. Crawford previously served as an attorney for Planned Parenthood. She fought against a law for women’s safety which would have required abortion mills to have hospital admitting privileges. And Crawford fought against a law that would have prevented women from being coerced into abortion. Her victory maintains a liberal majority on the court which may hear important cases on abortion and congressional maps and redistricting. Specifically, Democrats are eager to insert a so-called right to abortion in the Wisconsin Constitution and redistrict previously safe Republican districts into Democrat ones, ensuring that Trump will lose his slim House majority which would deep-six his legislative agenda. Kelsey Pritchard, Communications Director of the pro-life Women Speak Out PAC, said, “Republican voters should heed this race as a warning on becoming complacent following the wins last November. “We must be engaged as we enter the mid-terms and show up to the polls next year so that the Trump administration’s progress is not reversed. Otherwise, Democrats will fulfill the abortion lobby’s agenda for the elimination of parental rights and all-trimester abortion funded by the taxpayer.” It was the most expensive judicial race in U.S. history with over $90 million spent. That included $20 million from tech billionaire Elon Musk for Brad Schimel. South Carolina eager to end Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in an abortion funding case yesterday. The state of South Carolina is trying to end Medicaid funding for abortion giant Planned Parenthood. The Palmetto state has the support of the Trump administration and 18 other states. Alliance Defending Freedom is representing South Carolina in the case. John Bursch, their Senior Counsel, said, “Taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund facilities that profit off abortion and distribute dangerous gender-transition drugs to minors.” Wyoming no longer requires homeschoolers to get gov’t approval Back at the end of February, Wyoming’s Republican Governor Mark Gordon signed the Homeschool Freedom Act into law. Homeschool families in the state are no longer required to notify or check in with the government to educate their children. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Nigerian Muslims killed 11 Christians last Thursday Last Thursday, suspected Fulani Muslim militants killed 11 Christians during a raid on a Christian farming community in central Nigeria. A local resident told International Christian Concern, “In the late evening, armed militants surprised us with their assault. We lost 11 valued lives, including a pregnant woman.” Amnesty International Nigeria commented, “The inaction of authorities has left people exposed to violence, resulting in devastating losses.” Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous country worldwide for Christians, according to the Open Doors’ World Watch List. Trump demanding pro-life free speech in United Kingdom The U.S. State Department stated Sunday it is concerned about freedom of expression in the United Kingdom. The statement comes as Livia Tossici-Bolt, a pro-life advocate in England faces criminal charges for offering conversation outside an abortion mill. The U.S. State Department said, “We are monitoring her case. It is important that the U.K. respect and protect freedom of expression.” The case may even threaten a free trade deal between the U.S. and the U.K. A source in the Trump administration, familiar with the trade negotiations, told The Telegraph there should be “no free trade without free speech.” Appearing on Leading Britain’s Conversation with Tom Swarbrick, Claire McCullough, founder of Good Counsel Network, and a friend of Livia Tossici-Bolt, declared that the British law which suppresses free speech outside abortion mills is a massive overreach. McCULLOUGH: “A leaflet saying, “Pregnant? Worried? Help if you want it’ is not offending anyone actually, or ‘Here to talk, if you want,’ as Livia’s poster said. But I just don't see how that is distressing to anybody. Abortion itself is very distressing. I'll agree with you there. But I don't see how an offer of help is distressing. Especially when the people who are offering it are completely peace-keeping people who've never been in any way charged with anything prior to this law coming in.” Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” Trump vs. Planned Parenthood Politico reports the Trump administration notified nine Planned Parenthood state affiliates on Monday that their funding is being “temporarily withheld.” The letter said Planned Parenthood may be violating federal civil rights laws as well as President Donald Trump’s executive orders, specifically his orders against diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is giving Planned Parenthood 10 days to prove it will comply with Trump’s orders. The temporary hold affects nearly $30 million in federal funding. HHS to cut 10,000 jobs Last Thursday, the Department of Health and Human Services announced that it will cut about 10,000 full-time employees. Department Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said, “We aren't just reducing bureaucratic sprawl. We are realigning the organization with its core mission and our new priorities in reversing the chronic disease epidemic. This Department will do more – a lot more – at a lower cost to the taxpayer.” The plan will save taxpayers $1.8 billion as part of President Trump’s efforts to make the government workforce more efficient. Mississippi on track to end state income tax Last Thursday, Mississippi Republican Governor Tate Reeves signed a bill into law that will end the state’s income tax. REEVES: “Mississippi will no longer tax the work, the earnings, or the ambition of its people.” The “Build Up Mississippi Act” will cut the income tax rate to 3% by 2030. After that, annual decreases will eventually bring the rate to 0%. This puts the state on track to become the first to eliminate an existing income tax. Governor Reeves told Mississippians, “The work of your hands belongs to you. It is yours – to feed your family and invest in your home and your community. Because that’s what this is ultimately about. Not just numbers on a balance sheet, but lives.” Consumer spending increased slightly The Federal Reserve’s primary inflation measure rose last month. The core personal consumption expenditures price index increased by 0.4% in February compared to January. That put the 12-month inflation rate at 2.8% which was more than what economists expected. The quake which registered 7.7 on the Richter scale, affected the areas of Mandalay and Sagaing. (Look at a shake map of Myanmar that shows the areas most affected by the earthquake.) Rescue efforts in the area of Sagaing have been hampered by the nation’s military, as that area has the reputation of resisting the junta since the coup of 2021. The major Christianized areas of Myanmar include the Chin State in the northwest and the Karen State in the southeast. The earthquake affected the center of the country. Al Jazeera reports 80 deaths in Gaza in the past 24 hours, and 1,000 deaths since the ceasefire broke two weeks ago. On Sunday, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to intensify attacks on Hamas until Israeli hostages are released. U.S. deployed B-2 Bombers, two air craft carriers to Middle East The United States has deployed a quarter of its B-2 Bomber fleet to the Middle East, based on the island of Diego Garcia, just south of the nation of Iran. Also, the two aircraft carriers, the U.S.S. Carl Vinson and the U.S.S. Harry S Truman, have been moved into the Persian Gulf area, for a more significant military buildup. Trump threatened military action if Iran doesn’t stop nuclear program President Donald Trump has sent a letter to Iran demanding a settlement on the nation’s nuclear program. He threatened military action, but has received no response in two months. Trump told NBC News that "If they don't make a deal, there will be bombing. It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before." Iran’s skyrocketing inflation and severe water shortages Iran’s internal pressures are rising as well. First, inflation remains at a staggering 40%. The Iranian rial, their currency, has lost significant value — crossing the 1,000,000 rial-to-dollar threshold recently. And second, because rainfall decreased by 25% last year, Iran’s major dams are only at 6% capacity. The National Council of Resistance in Iran issued a recent report that summarizes the Iranian situation this way: “The sharp increase in water shortages, poverty, inflation, and systemic corruption has turned Iran into a powder keg, with officials scrambling to prevent an explosion that seems all but inevitable.” Trump’s tornado of tariffs This is the big tariff week for the Trump Administration. What is called “reciprocal tariffs” are on schedule to take effect tomorrow, probably affecting India and Brazil most heavily - due to their tariff imbalances. In addition to the reciprocal tariffs, auto import duties of 25% will kick in on Thursday — mostly affecting Mexico with $20 billion in tariffs, Japan with $10 billion in tariffs, South Korea with $9 billion in tariffs, Canada with $8 billion in tariffs, and Germany with $6 billion. Plus, about half of the cars sold in the U.S. will be subjected to the 25% tariff. Appeals court rules DOGE can continue operating at USAID A federal appeals court on Friday granted the Trump administration's motion to extend a stay allowing the Department of Government Efficiency to continue operating at the United States Agency for International Development, reports Fox News. That’s great news since DOGE has already saved the taxpayers $130 billion which is $807.45 per taxpayer. Appearing on Fox News, Daniel Cameron, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, was thrilled. CAMERON: “It is a fantastic win for the Trump administration and their perseverance! “Unconventional doesn't necessarily mean unconstitutional. USAID has become a haven for the radical Left. We want to see a president that is cutting waste, fraud and abuse. “As a conservative, we've been talking about this for 30 years. The attack began at dawn, catching villagers by surprise. Armed with guns and machetes, the Muslims targeted the farming community, swiftly overpowering the residents. The assault, which included the destruction of homes, left dozens of families displaced, worsening an already dire humanitarian crisis in the region. Eastern Congo remains plagued by violence, with more than 100 armed groups vying for control of the region’s valuable resources. The innocent civilians continue to bear the heaviest cost. Despite repeated calls for action, the Congo government has been unable to protect its citizens from these frequent raids. He has had to cancel a string of engagements set for today in Birmingham, England. And he was unable to greet Ambassadors of three different nations yesterday. The King was at home at Clarence House last night where he was said to be in good form and continuing to work on State Papers and making calls from his study. (Look at the rooms inside Clarence House). On January 17, 2024, Buckingham Palace announced the King was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate. Trump affirmed two God-given genders, opposition to transgenderism President Donald Trump criticized gender ideology during a recent Women’s History Month event held at the White House on March 25th. He reaffirmed the two genders created by God. TRUMP: “On Day One, I made the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female. Is there anybody that disagrees with that in this room? (laughter) I was thinking, maybe somebody from the press might raise their head. I don't think so. “For four long years, we had an administration that tried to abolish the very concept of womanhood and replace it with radical gender ideology.
