Brief History Holiday at Home

As a sufferer of migraines who has wrinkles that have come with age, I prefer other methods of pain control than botox. Thanks to Cat's report, I don't see that choice changing! Thankfully, strong vanity isn't one of my faults. I disagree with Charles Spencer's assertion that his segment wasn't interesting. Unless I misheard, though, I've worked for several companies in the U.S. who have paid holidays for exempt employees; the holidays are included in the annual salary. Non-exempt employees, who are paid by the hour, do not get paid holidays. Learning about navvies and the work they did, the prejudice they faced, and what they accomplished was very interesting. It's a shame that those who've built the infrastructure of our world are habitually and historically looked down upon by those who've never picked up a shovel even to tend a potted garden. I thank you all for traveling down your respective rabbit holes so that I could kick back and listen at home.
