  • Summary

  • I was excessively overweight and did not admit it. I acknowledged that I was a little fat. I claimed that I was fat-but-fit. I could exercise. Then, as I fell through the rabbit Google-hole, I admitted that I was fat-and-unfit. Still, I denied reality. I did not count calories. I did not weigh myself. I did not understand muscle loss. I did not recognize poor sleep. I did not value hydration. I did not practice good breathing. I did not appreciate exercise. I did not present myself well. I compromised my relationships. I lived in denial. I was dying in denial. I wrestled the daddy demon I call Denial. I had a series of insights. I am no longer denying denial. I found my healthy, aspirational self.
