    In this segment, Made For Rockford Initiative Director Whitney Martin breaks down the new program available in Rockford through the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau called Made for Rockford. A team of 45 Rockfordians have been chosen to connect with new potential residents to connect them with the city arts, museums, parks to make them feel connected to Rockford. Thus, they may make Rockford a permanent home after contracts at their companies have expired.

    SEGMENT #3: Karen Carlson Gigi’s Playhouse Rockford Down Syndrome Month/Gala

    Since October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Executive Director Karen Carlson outlines the importance of acceptance and awareness of individuals with Down Syndrome, and what GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford provides for over 400 families in the Stateline. In addition, she outlines the who, what, where and why of the upcoming “I Have A Voice Gala”, which is their main fundraiser.
