Tim Walz, born Timothy James Walz on April 6, 1964, in West Point, Nebraska, is an American politician, educator, and former military servicemember who currently serves as the 41st Governor of Minnesota and recently was chosen as the 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate on the Harris 2024 Presidential ticket.Walz grew up in a rural setting, the son of a public school administrator father and a community activist mother.
