I grew up on a ranch/farm with sheepdogs and useless dogs just like Hank and Drover! McConaughy’s TX drawl is perfect for Hank; frighteningly close to the voice I’d given him when I giggled my way through the series as a junior high and high school student.

It never mattered to me that the stories were meant for elementary kids, they were accurate and funny enough to make me laugh out loud! The story details of machines that break down, dogs that aren’t allowed to put a paw inside, and the hierarchy of ranch life are 100% accurate and still hysterical!
