What makes sin, sin? We're starting off that discussion by showing what faith looks like. Unbelief is sin, but what does that mean? We know what faith looks like because of the examples in Scripture where faith is modeled as courageous heroism. Wouldn't the opposite be true? We get started making this case in John and then Hebrews and will continue next time with seeing the OT Law as training to be faithful, and therefore heroic.

Jumping back into contingency and how union with God, with others, depends on contingency and on God's real freedom to have created the world from nothing. Things that confuse contingency will collapse everything into one thing. God's will and Who He is become the same. Our will and who we are become identical. The past, the future, the present fold in on themselves. Or do we come into union because God is truly different from the Creation, and has made us different so that union, family, cooperation, synergy is possible and actually ideal?
