    In this episode of Exposing IBLPs Men's Manual, we dive into Bill Gothard’s controversial views on news reporting and history writing. Gothard argues that a newspaper should not report all the facts because "the public has a right to know," citing the idea that "the truth shall make you free." But his take on truth is far from balanced. His dangerous views on omitting or filtering the reports through "God's word" can lead to the omission of reporting on dangerous individuals the public has a right to be aware of. Gothard claims that truth out of balance leads to error and that detrimental information about people shouldn’t be made public until it’s thoroughly vetted. He believes that public news media should never violate God’s moral standards—but at what cost? This mindset is what has lead to a white-washing of history and control over what gets reported.
